In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-focused delivery of production operations across cooking, mixing, packing, cartoning, and related areas.\nWe’re looking for someone with proven experience leading teams in a food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment. You’ll provide direct leadership to leading hands and operators, partnering with maintenance, quality, and HR to drive consistent results and a strong team culture.\nYour ability to lead, develop, and inspire people will be critical to the success of the shift and the site overall.\nHours of Work\nAfternoon Shift Roster, Monday to Friday, 2.00 pm to 10.30 PM. Some weekend work may be required.\nPlease note: this role involves work in temperature-controlled environments\nBenefits\nPermanent full-time role with a stable, ASX-listed company\nConsistent day shift hours - better work-life balance\nUniforms provided and cleaned by the company\nOnsite parking\nGreat employee benefits including product discounts, travel discounts, and more\nSupportive leadership team invested in your growth and development\nFast-paced and team-focused environment with a genuine continuous improvement culture\nThe health, safety, and wellbeing of our people is our highest priority\nDaily Tasks:\nLead and develop your team through coaching, delegation, and recognition - building the capability to consistently meet shift targets\nSupervise production operations across all night shift areas, ensuring output, quality, and schedule targets are met\nMonitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions promptly when performance deviates from plan\nDrive a strong safety culture - identify hazards, resolve food safety and quality issues, and ensure compliance with all WHS and environmental requirements\nPartner with maintenance to coordinate planned and reactive work, minimising downtime and disruption to production flow\nCollaborate with the cleaning team to ensure scheduled cleans are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards\nImplement strategies to manage labour costs, reduce staff turnover, and maintain a productive and engaged workforce\nLead continuous improvement initiatives on shift - identifying waste and inefficiencies and implementing solutions using CI tools and frameworks\nCommunicate clearly across all levels of the business, including shift handover, toolbox talks, and escalation to the Production Manager as required\nYou will bring to this role:\nProven experience leading and engaging production teams in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment\nStrong coaching and performance management skills - you give direct, constructive feedback and follow through\nA genuine passion for continuous improvement, with experience applying CI tools and frameworks (formal qualifications well regarded)\nSolid analytical ability - you can read production data, spot trends, and translate insights into action\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally and build effective relationships at all levels\nDecisive and composed under pressure - comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nFlexible and available for weekend work when production requirements demand it\nWe’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us.
