This role independently performs software quality assurance activities for application development projects, system enhancements, integrations, and production releases. This position develops and executes comprehensive testing, manages defects, identifies quality risks, and contributes to test automation efforts that improve coverage, efficiency, repeatability, and release confidence. The role collaborates with Business Analysts, Application Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to verify that technology solutions meet business and technical requirements. The role would encompass the below responsibilities.\nIndependently plan and execute functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, API, performance, and post-deployment testing as appropriate.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, expected results, traceability, and supporting QA documentation.\nAnalyze business requirements, technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for clarity, completeness, and testability.\nIdentify, document, prioritize, track, and communicate software defects, testing issues, dependencies, and quality risks.\nParticipate in or facilitate defect triage and collaborate with technical and business resources to support timely resolution.\nCoordinate test environments, test data, schedules, dependencies, and business participation for assigned efforts.\nCommunicate testing status, results, unresolved defects, risks, and release-readiness observations to project stakeholders.\nSupport release validation, production implementation, and post-deployment verification activities.\nApply and promote established QA standards, processes, procedures, documentation templates, and best practices.\nIdentify functional, integration, regression, API, and other repeatable tests that are appropriate candidates for automation.\nDesign, implement, execute, and maintain automated tests using approved tools, frameworks, and standards.\nPartner with Application Developers and other technology resources to troubleshoot automated test failures and improve automation reliability and coverage.\nIncorporate automated tests into application delivery and continuous integration processes where appropriate.\nMonitor defect trends and testing results to identify opportunities for process and quality improvement.\nParticipate in root-cause analysis of production defects and recommend preventive or corrective actions.\nProvide guidance and knowledge transfer to less experienced QA resources when requested.\nServe as a knowledgeable QA resource for assigned applications, projects, or business processes.\nDegree Required:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.\nYears of Experience Required:\nThree or more years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, software testing, business application testing, or a related technology role.\nCertification Required:\nQuality assurance, software testing, Agile, or test automation certifications are preferred but not required.\nSolid knowledge of software quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.\nProficiency developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, traceability documentation, and testing reports.\nExperience performing functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, API, performance, and post-deployment testing as appropriate.\nExperience identifying automation candidates and developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests.\nKnowledge of automated testing tools, frameworks, scripting approaches, and continuous integration practices.\nExperience with defect tracking, test management, work management, and software development collaboration tools.\nAbility to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.\nAbility to identify quality risks, dependencies, coverage gaps, and process improvement opportunities.\nWorking knowledge of relational databases and queries used for data validation and testing.\nWorking knowledge of application integrations, APIs, batch processes, interfaces, and data flows.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to independently manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.\nStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, documentation, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to communicate defects, risks, status, and recommendations to technical and business audiences.\nWorking environment:\nStandard office environment with the ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.\nRegular use of computers, software applications, testing tools, communication platforms, and other office technology.\nMay require extended or nonstandard working hours to support significant application releases, production implementations, or critical issue resolution.\nMay require coordination with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, or resources working in different locations or schedules.\nMust be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, deadline-oriented environment.\n\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nA competitive compensation package \nComprehensive benefits including Medical/Prescription Drug plans, HSA, Vision, Dental and Health Care FSA.\nGenerous paid time off benefits \n401K match upon first day of hire\nLife and AD&D, Employee Assistant programs, Group Legal, & more\nAssociate growth and development encouraged through internal training and tuition reimbursement program\nIf you are requesting reasonable accommodation or disability assistance in submitting your application, you may email us at \nIngram Marine Group and its affiliates (“Company”) is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
