Providing guidance and support for electrical at IBCO facilities and repair yards. Interacting with direct reports, vessel associates, and external vendors to oversee integration of electronic throttles, alarm systems, steering systems, and other electrical upgrades with focus on Zero Harm.\nThe responsibilities of the role are as follows:\nCoordinate and direct vendors and Ingram associates during the overhaul process\nCollaborate with facility manager and provide guidance for electrical upgrades/repairs\nManage direct reports and Ingram associates to oversee the installation of electrical systems onboard vessels in accordance with Subchapter M regulations.\nMaintain knowledge of current and new technologies\nCalibrate, test, inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers etc.)\nAssist in the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems \nVisit and develop work scope of each vessel to be overhauled and include all parties as to what will be accomplished during the overhaul process.\nAssure proper documentation of overhaul processes.\nDevelop procedures and documentation for USCG approval for equipment upgrades for vessels per Subchapter M regulations. \nAttends routine staff, Overhaul, ISAFE & project progress meetings.\nManage vessel cores from overhauls. \nSources parts for projects and overhauls/supervises daily shore side repairs\nAssists Chief Engineers with “hands on” maintenance and repair tasks during overhaul \nAssists Chief Engineers with on board maintenance procedures during overhaul\nCompletes records, and other documents from repairs \nPerforms special technical assignments as directed by the Manager of Engineering\nReviews invoices from overhauls and general repair. \nReview vessel previous overhaul records to determine scope of work\nCurrent overhaul based upon Ingram overhaul standards. \nAssure essential documentation from vessel repairs are maintained\nSupport department activities with regular and prompt attendance\nHelp with training of chief and junior engineers\n Required Qualifications:\nA High School diplomat or GED required.\n6-8 years of experience within the field\nCertification required: NFPA 70E\nMust have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas)\nTravel as needed to IBCO facilities and repair yards\nAble to work in extreme weather conditions\nAdditional Qualifications:\nA high level of knowledge of the vessels and vessel systems is required for this position. \nExceptional people skills are also required prior to, during and after the project to assure customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level.\nAbility to manage direct and indirect reports, vendors, processes across multiple areas. \nMust be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use information to align with customer service, operations and engineering regulatory and company specifications.\nPossess ability to cross functionally work with multiple department representatives to achieve common goals.\nHigh level of knowledge of PLCs, AC and DC controls and systems.\nHigh level knowledge of industrial electrical systems.\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nA competitive compensation package \nComprehensive benefits including Medical/Prescription Drug plans, HSA, Vision, Dental and Health Care FSA.\nGenerous paid time off benefits \n401K match upon first day of hire\nLife and AD&D, Employee Assistant programs, Group Legal, & more\nAssociate growth and development encouraged through internal training and tuition reimbursement program\nIf you are requesting reasonable accommodation or disability assistance in submitting your application, you may email us at \nIngram Marine Group and its affiliates (“Company”) is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
