This role will be responsible for the following:\nPlatform Enablement, Pipeline & Automation\nDesign and implement reusable CI/CD pipeline capabilities and standardized templates using GitLab\nDevelop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and self-service patterns for infrastructure provisioning\nCreate and optimize Ansible playbooks and platform automation for configuration management and application deployment\nEmbed security scanning, compliance checks, and platform guardrails into deployment workflows\nContainer & Kubernetes Platform Operations\nBuild, configure, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) as a reliable, scalable application platform\nDevelop and optimize reusable Helm charts and deployment standards for application teams\nImplement and manage GitOps workflows that enable consistent, repeatable application delivery\nPartner with application teams to monitor and troubleshoot containerized applications, platform services, and cluster performance\nPlatform Infrastructure & Reliability\nImplement Infrastructure as Code best practices and reusable platform components using Terraform and Ansible\nDesign and execute disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans\nPerform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities\nEstablish and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana\nCost Optimization & Resource Management\nMonitor and analyze Azure cloud spending patterns and resource utilization\nImplement cost optimization strategies including right-sizing, reserved instances, and auto-scaling policies\nDevelop dashboards and reports for cost tracking and forecasting\nCollaborate with application and infrastructure teams to optimize platform resource allocation and eliminate waste\nMonitoring & Observability\nDesign and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using Prometheus for metrics collection\nBuild and maintain Grafana dashboards for infrastructure, application, and business metrics\nConfigure intelligent alerting rules and escalation procedures\nEstablish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services\n24x7 Support & Incident Response\nParticipate in on-call rotation for 24x7 production support\nLead Tier 3 incident response efforts for production outages and system issues\nPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures\nCollaborate with development teams on performance optimization and troubleshooting\nMaintain runbooks and documentation for operational procedures\n Required Skills & Experience\nTechnical Expertise (5+ years)\nStrong experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and container orchestration\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Ansible\nAdvanced GitLab CI/CD pipeline development, reusable templates, and developer enablement\nExperience with GitOps methodologies and leading toolsets like Helm, Flux and/or ArgoCD\nPython scripting for platform automation, integrations, and pipeline tasks\nAzure cloud services, identity, and networking concepts\nMonitoring & Cost Management\nHands-on experience with Prometheus for metrics collection and alerting\nProficiency in Grafana for dashboard creation and data visualization\nExperience with Azure Cost Management tools and FinOps practices\nKnowledge of resource optimization techniques and auto-scaling strategies\nUnderstanding of cloud pricing models and cost allocation methods\nPlatform Engineering, DevOps & SRE Practices\nIncident management and post-mortem processes\n24x7 on-call experience with escalation procedures\nDisaster recovery planning and implementation\nSecurity best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure\nExperience with chaos engineering and resilience testing\nCollaborative Skills\nExperience partnering with cross-functional application, infrastructure, architecture, and security teams\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities under pressure\nDocumentation, platform standards, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing practices\nComfortable with 24x7 on-call rotation responsibilities\nPreferred Qualifications\nAzure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305, or AKS-related)\nExperience with message bus systems (Azure Service Bus)\nKnowledge of .NET applications and Angular frontend deployments, including common developer workflows and platform integration needs\nFamiliarity with secret management solutions (Delinea or similar)\nExperience with additional monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights)\nFinOps certification
