As the Senior Software Engineer, you will perform all aspects of the development life cycle. If you are an IT professional who strives to deliver results through collaborative partnerships, understanding what drives business, and enjoys working in a connected culture, we can’t wait to meet you!\nThe ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or directly related experience \n6+ years development experience as application engineer/sr. programmer analyst \n5+ years mainframe COBOL and/or Mainframe/iSeries development experience \n5+ years relational database experience \nWe have a preference for:\nStrong COBOL development experience on mainframe platforms, with expertise in TSO/ISPF and enterprise batch/online processing\nStrong database skills including DB2, Oracle, and SQL\nUnderstanding of logistics order-to-delivery process, distribution functions or transportation processes\nExperience developing design patterns, standards, and best practices; provides technical leadership and oversight, including third-party and database integrations\nAbility to use modern COBOL development environments and AI-enabled tools to analyze legacy code, accelerate development, and support modernization efforts.\nLeads and executes full application development lifecycle activities, including requirements, design, development, testing, quality assurance, and deployment\nReviews and evaluates application workflow, usability, and performance; ensures solutions meet defined specifications and standards.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor others, guide technical work, and collaborate across teams and technical domains\nThe Senior Cobol Developer’s key responsibilities are:\nDevelops, tests, and implements changes to existing mainframe COBOL programs/applications including integration with MQ and API middleware.\nWorks closely with client resources to assist in solution design and implementation\nSupports user/customer community to capture system requirements.\nWorks with multiple systems (i.e. Order Processing, Warehouse Processing, Billing, Sales, Credit Processing)\nManages projects that require work from others. \nCommunicates project status and issues.\nEnforces good development practices.\nInvestigates new technologies and new techniques.\nDevelops and modifies internal facing software applications.\nProvides application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance, deployment and support.\nReviews and evaluates application workflow and user experience.\nProvides adequate tests to ensure program meets specified requirements.\nCoordinates with users and product owners to gather requirements.\nHiring Salary Range: $110,981 - $141,123k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
