Job Description:

Credit Controller

Location: Milton Keynes - Hybrid

This role follows a non-negotiable 3-day hybrid working pattern. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Milton Keynes office.

About the job:

We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Ingram Micro UK. As the business continues to evolve, we're looking for someone with Credit Control experience who can confidently manage customer accounts, build strong stakeholder relationships and support cash collection performance.

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of sales-driven and account-managed customers, working closely with Sales, Finance and Credit Risk teams to resolve issues, minimise risk and support the financial performance of the business.

Whilst the ideal candidate will bring strong Credit Control experience, we're also keen to hear from those earlier in their Credit Control career who are looking to develop their skills within a supportive, global business. If you're looking for an opportunity to grow, take ownership and build a long-term career in Credit Control, we'd love to hear from you.

Core responsibilities:

  • Managing the timely collection of customer debt across a portfolio of key accounts
  • Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and drive payment performance
  • Reviewing held orders and making informed decisions to support order release and minimise risk
  • Investigating and resolving escalated customer queries and complaints
  • Working closely with Sales, Finance, Credit Risk and our third-party collections provider to manage complex accounts
  • Producing debtor reporting, cash forecasts and other working capital reports as required
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and ways of working

To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a Credit Control role is essential. We welcome applicants at all levels of experience, including those early in their Credit Control career, but candidates must have worked specifically in Credit Control rather than solely inabroaderfinanceposition.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Good analytical skills and confidence interpreting financial information
  • Confident using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage priorities and take ownership of issues through to resolution

What we offer:

  • AXA Health Insurance and Dental Plan options available for you and your family through a salary sacrifice scheme
  • Rising holiday allowance at Year 2 and Year 5
  • Birthday day off
  • Employee Referral Bonus - help us grow our team and get rewarded for introducing great talent
  • Employee discounts and wellness perks
  • Modern offices with breakout spaces, free tea and coffee, and a private wellness room
  • Development opportunities with clear career progression and training
