Let’s shape tomorrow - it’ll be a fun journey!\n\nRelocation assistance is available.\n\nPosition Overview\nThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations within a highly automated distribution environment, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of facility infrastructure, material handling equipment, and automated systems. This role oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment lifecycle management, facility operations, and continuous improvement initiatives that maximize uptime and operational efficiency.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in automated warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments and possesses deep technical expertise in conveyor systems, PLC-controlled equipment, material handling technology, and building systems. This leader will manage a team of maintenance professionals, partner with vendors and contractors, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives, optimize equipment performance, and minimize operational disruptions.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead all maintenance activities for automated distribution systems, conveyors, material handling equipment, scanning systems, and facility infrastructure.\nManage, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors to achieve operational and safety goals.\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nDrive equipment reliability initiatives focused on reducing downtime and increasing throughput.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation-related issues.\nOversee maintenance, repair, replacement, and optimization of conveyor systems and automated equipment.\nManage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers supporting maintenance operations and capital projects.\nDevelop labor, material, and project cost estimates for repairs, upgrades, and facility improvements.\nPartner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to align maintenance priorities with business objectives.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, building codes, and safety standards.\nAnalyze maintenance metrics, equipment performance data, and operational trends to drive continuous improvement.\nLead Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause problem-solving initiatives to improve system performance and reliability.\nOversee maintenance activities for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other critical facility systems.\nSupport facility planning, infrastructure improvements, and capital investment projects.\nIdentify and implement sustainability initiatives that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\nMinimum 7 years of maintenance, facilities, or reliability experience within a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or automated operational environment.\nMinimum 4 years of leadership experience managing maintenance technicians, supervisors, or technical teams.\nExperience leading maintenance operations in highly automated environments.\nStrong knowledge of conveyor systems, automated material handling equipment, sortation systems, and related technologies.\nExperience working with PLC-controlled equipment, industrial controls, and electromechanical systems.\nProven success developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills involving complex equipment and operational issues.\nExperience managing maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and contractor services.\nKnowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and facility infrastructure.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze maintenance and operational data to improve equipment reliability and performance.\nStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work flexible schedules and respond to critical operational issues in a fast-paced environment.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.\n Preferred Qualifications\nExperience in large-scale automated distribution centers, fulfillment centers, e-commerce operations, or logistics environments.\nHands-on experience with conveyor controls, sortation systems, robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), or advanced material handling technologies.\nLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification.\nExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix, or Maintenance Connection.\nKnowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance technologies, and condition-based monitoring.\nExperience leading capital projects, facility expansions, equipment installations, or automation upgrades.\nFamiliarity with energy management, sustainability initiatives, and environmental stewardship programs.\nProfessional certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or related maintenance and engineering credentials.\nThe typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $88,700.00 - $150,800.00 per year.The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire.
