This role reports to the Production Supervisor and works closely with other operators and maintenance personnel.\nShifts: 8-hour rotating shifts (Day, Night, and Swing). 7 days on, 2 off, 7 on, 2 off, 7 on, 3 off.\n\nHourly Rate: Rate from $27.73 to $32.87 per hour (The variation will be based on the shift and area)\n\nBenefits: Effective the first of the month post-hire - medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, plus a Health Savings Account (HSA).\n\n401K Plan: Up to 3% match, plus additional 3.5% contribution.\n\nSafety Shoe Allotment: $250.\n\nRelocation Available: No\n\nJob Grade: Local\n\nQuarterly Bonus: Eligible based on performance\n\nThe Process Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing and handling of raw materials and/or finished products at the plant. Safely operating equipment in the assigned area while maintaining a high degree of quality for our products and working as efficiently as possible for our continuous operation facilities.\nWhat you will do:\nVarying levels of positions may include the following tasks:\n· Operating mechanized equipment safely, efficiently, and within specifications. Troubleshooting, inspecting, and fixing issues that arise with equipment as applicable. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.\n· Monitoring the operation from the control room on computers, if applicable.\n· Sampling and testing products.\n· Preparing railcars and trucks; loading and unloading trucks, railcars and bags, as necessary.\n· Packing, inspecting, and dumping bags, totes, sacks or drums.\n· Filling tanks or transferring product as necessary.\n· Performing tasks of varying physical demand such as moving hoses and cleaning equipment.\n· Maintaining inventory.\n· Handling movement of and working with chemicals as appropriate.\n· Performing other duties as required.\n· Continuous learning of other job duties and/or positions as required.\nWhat you will bring:\n· Ability to work in potentially loud and in strong odorous environments, different physical environments, or in various weather conditions\n· Must be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull, enter tanks, and wear harness.\n· High school diploma or GED (required)\nWho you are:\n· Read, write and speak English.\n· Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.\n· Strong communication skills to share information, data, and ideas with peers and leaders.\n· Demonstrate good decision-making ability and communication skills.\n· Computer literate and SAP experience a plus.\n· Able to develop and apply mechanical/problem solving skills, preferred.\n· Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety, a plus.\n· Forklift experience, a plus or ability to get forklift certification, required.\nWhy Join Ingredion?\nDiscover why Ingredion is the ideal place to advance your career with our exceptional rewards and benefits package designed to help you thrive.
