As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will set and execute the plant quality strategy, maintain the Quality Management System, lead QA/QC teams, and ensure incoming materials, in-process controls, and finished products meet Ingredion, customer, certification, and legal requirements.
What you will do:
Quality Leadership - Lead plant QA and QC activities, develop the quality team, and embed Ingredion Performance System (IPS) quality standards across operations.
Quality & Food Safety Systems - Maintain and continuously improve quality and food safety systems, including GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000/GFSI, ISO, Halal, Kosher, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Product Release - Ensure sampling plans, specifications, testing, documentation, and product disposition controls prevent the release of non-conforming materials or products.
Performance & Improvement - Monitor plant quality KPIs, reduce complaints and non-conformances, and lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Audits & Customer Support - Serve as the primary contact for customer, regulatory, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and professional responses to inquiries.
Change & Supplier Quality - Review new products, process and specification changes, and collaborate with regional/global teams to strengthen supplier and raw-material compliance.
People, Safety & Training - Coach the quality team, ensure required employee training, and deliver quality activities safely in line with EHSS targets.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in QA/QC, manufacturing quality, engineering, continuous improvement, quality analytics, or supplier quality.
Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food regulations, auditing, sanitation, product safety, and relevant quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, FSSC 22000 or other GFSI schemes.
Experience leading quality strategies, audits, change management, root-cause analysis, and improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Fluent written and spoken English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-management systems.
