This position also serves as back-up support performing the same function for other departments within the facility, as needed and when assigned.\nPrimary Accountabilities:\nDeliver palletized products to the designated area using a forklift, in a timely and safe manner\nLocate or relocate product within the department as directed\nUnload and load trucks when required\nBuild or re-stack pallet loads as needed\nUtilize the warehouse management system that manages product inventory within the facility\nInspect forklift and related equipment daily and complete daily log\nManage forklift battery watering system\nBack up forklift operators in other departments as assigned\nCommunicate with leads, supervisors, managers, and customers\nIdentify and/or troubleshoot issues with equipment or with product locations\nEscalate issues that cannot be solved to the appropriate parties in accordance with guidelines\nPerform other tasks as assigned\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nComplies with all policies and standards\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma (or its equivalent) required\n1-3 years At least 1 year of work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required\nLegally authorized to work in the U.S.\nAbility to operate or learn to operate the following equipment: Order picker\nSingle Reach and Double Reach Forklift Scan gun or gladiator\nAble to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards; able to use a pallet jack\nAbility to work with heights\nWorking knowledge of computers; ability to read in English\nAble to follow standard operation and safety procedures\nAble to work in an environment that is not climate controlled\nAble to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed\nAble to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed\nAble to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures\nBilingual a plus (Spanish/English)\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the major job responsibilities (essential functions) of this job.
