You understand that scalable analytics, AI, and compliance depend on strong foundations: clear ownership, reliable metadata, lineage, quality controls, access discipline, and cost transparency.\nPRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nGovernance Enablement & Automation\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable automated frameworks that enforce data governance policies and standards.\nEmbed governance controls into data pipelines, platforms, and workflows.\nIdentify governance gaps and deliver AI-enabled automated solutions. Metadata, Cataloging & Lineage\nLead implementation and enforcement of enterprise metadata standards.\nLead automated lineage capture, validation, and reporting.\nServe as a technical subject matter expert for metadata, cataloging, and lineage capabilities. Data Classification & Sensitive Data Controls\nDesign and refine automated sensitive data detection and classification workflows.\nValidate scan results and ensure classifications are applied consistently.\nPartner with Privacy and Security teams to operationalize governance controls. Access Controls & Cost Transparency\nSupport implementation and auditing of RBAC and least-privilege standards.\nDesign and maintain governance reporting.\nImprove cloud cost accountability through tagging and ownership alignment. Technical Leadership & Team Collaboration\nEstablish engineering standards and governance patterns.\nMentor engineers through reviews and design guidance.\nLead complex initiatives end-to-end. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Required\nBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience (6-8+ years).\nAdvanced experience with Python.\nStrong expertise in SQL and large datasets.\nExperience with cloud data pipelines, Airflow, dbt, or similar tools.\nExperience implementing governance capabilities across cloud environments.\nProficiency with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.\nDeep understanding of metadata, lineage, data quality, classification, access controls, and ownership.
