Inmar Intelligence is a US data and technology company headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, that runs incentive, loyalty, retail media and settlement programs for consumer brands and retailers, and supply chain, prescription returns and revenue cycle services for healthcare organizations. It also runs an automotive marketing unit and a Canadian healthcare arm, with offices and operations in Grand Prairie, Chicago, Boston, Cambridge and New York. It hires client strategists and success managers, network, cyber security and retail media engineers and summer interns across finance, data, sales and software.
Primary Accountabilities: This is a highly visible, strategic finance leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on business decisions and help shape the company's financial direction.

Rather than simply managing budgets and forecasts, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner to senior leaders across Finance, HR, Legal, and Technology, helping drive smarter investments, optimize spending, and influence long-term business strategy.

You'll take ownership of corporate financial planning, forecasting, executive reporting, and capital budgeting, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, leverage automation, and elevate the FP&A function.

What makes this opportunity exciting is the combination of executive exposure, strategic influence, and ownership. You'll have the autonomy to drive meaningful improvements, challenge the status quo, and play a key role in how the business plans and invests for the future.

We're looking for someone who enjoys going beyond the numbers, connecting financial insights to business strategy, and making a measurable impact.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Corporate Function Financial Partnership

  • Serve as the primary FP&A partner to leaders of Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and Technology; provide financial guidance on operating priorities, spending decisions, and the financial impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of expense drivers across supported functions, including compensation and benefits, open positions, contractors, professional services, technology platforms, vendor contracts, and other shared-service costs.
  • Lead financial reviews with functional leaders to evaluate performance, challenge assumptions, identify savings opportunities, and recommend actions that align spending with company priorities.
  • Partner on business cases, staffing plans, sourcing decisions, and organizational changes, including the assessment of financial trade-offs and potential returns.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Long-Range Planning

  • Own the annual operating budget and periodic forecast processes for assigned Corporate functions,

including planning calendars, financial assumptions, submissions, consolidation, and leadership reviews.

  • Build and maintain detailed, driver-based models for headcount, compensation, benefits, consulting,

software, and other major cost categories in partnership with HR, Procurement, and functional owners.

  • Develop rolling forecasts and multi-year outlooks; evaluate sensitivities, alternative scenarios, emerging

business needs, and risks or opportunities to financial commitments.

  • Explain changes from prior forecasts, budget, and actual results; establish clear ownership of assumptions and ensure plans are complete, supportable, and aligned with broader company financial objectives.

Financial Reporting, Analytics & Business Insights

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly management reporting for Corporate functions, including actual-to-budget and actual-to-forecast variance analysis, expense trends, and forward-looking commentary.
  • Develop concise financial presentations, dashboards, and key performance indicators that equip executives and functional leaders to understand results, manage costs, and make informed decisions.
  • Identify root causes of material variances, distinguish timing differences from structural cost changes, and recommend actions to address unfavorable trends or capture opportunities.
  • Partner with Accounting during month-end close to review financial results, accruals, allocations, and expense classifications; ensure reporting reflects the underlying business activity.
  • Lead ad hoc analysis and financial modeling to support strategic projects, vendor evaluations, organizational decisions, and leadership requests.

Capital Budgeting Investment Oversight

  • Own the annual capital budgeting and periodic capital forecast processes, coordinating submissions, approvals, project prioritization, and updates across business and functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain reporting and forecasts for approved capital investments, including project-level budgets, spend to date, remaining commitments, expected timing, and anticipated in-service dates.
  • Evaluate proposed investments through financial business cases and return measures, such as ROI, payback period, and net present value, when appropriate; highlight trade-offs and help leadership allocate capital.
  • Monitor capital spend against approved plans, explain variances, flag timing or funding risks, and support reprioritization decisions and post-investment performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and project owners on capital versus operating expense treatment, asset placement in service, and related depreciation or amortization forecasts.

Leadership, Controls & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and develop assigned FP&A team members; set clear expectations for analysis quality, deadlines, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Establish consistent planning assumptions, reporting definitions, documentation standards, and review controls to improve accuracy, comparability, and confidence in financial information.
  • Improve financial models, reporting tools, data quality, and workflows through standardization and automation; reduce manual effort while increasing the value of analysis provided to the business.
  • Proactively communicate issues, recommendations, and decision points to FP&A leadership and key stakeholders; drive initiatives through implementation with limited direction.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and support special projects as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable company policies, financial controls, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, or related disciplines, including ownership of budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders, synthesize complex financial information, and present clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including driver-based forecasting, scenario analysis, and large-data analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems and planning/reporting tools; strong understanding of the relationship between financial planning, accounting results, and management reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional processes, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting Corporate functions and managing capital planning, project investment analysis, and related reporting.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, Hyperion/Essbase, or comparable enterprise planning systems; proficiency with business intelligence or data visualization tools.

Individual Competencies:

  • Problem Solving: Gathers and analyzes information to generate and evaluate potential solutions to problems, issues and challenges while weighing the accuracy and relevance of the facts, data and information.
  • Coaching: Guides, develops, empowers, and motivates associates to meet the organization's goals while preparing the team to win.
  • Change Management: Acts as a catalyst to change by using effective strategies to facilitate organizational change initiatives and overcome resistance to change.
  • Accountability: Sets clear goals, objectives, expectations, and responsibilities and monitors the process, progress and results to hold self and others accountable for measurable actions and results.
  • Influential Communication: Fosters open communication, speaks truthfully and with one voice through clear and consistent messages, listens to others and values all opinions while acting in a respectful manner to influence an outcome, impact, or effect, and responds appropriately to concerns of others.
