Innatera's technology serves as a critical enabler for next-generation use cases in the IoT, wearable, embedded, and automotive domains.\nWe are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic System Engineer (Linux) with DevOps and CI/CD experience to help our growing R&D Engineering team and manage our expanding compute server infrastructure used by our global R&D teams for chip design. This is a mission-critical role and an opportunity to do deeply impactful work.\nWe will trust you with:\nInfrastructure Lifecycle Management: Setting up and maintaining Linux-based compute servers and desktops/notebooks, and providing end-user support to our engineering teams;\n\nScripting Automation & Deployment: Design, implement, and scale automated OS deployment and configuration management frameworks (Ansible, Cobbler, Uyuni, FreeIPA) to minimize manual intervention and ensure consistent system state\n\nCI/CD & DevOps Integration: Collaborate with software engineering teams to bridge the gap between development and operations, specifically by integrating and enhancing GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery\n\nDistributed Storage tuning: Architect, maintain, and optimize Ceph (CephFS/RBD) distributed storage infrastructure to deliver the high-throughput, low-latency I/O required for engineering workloads.\n\nDocumentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge transfer and team efficiency.\n\nDatacenter Operations & Strategy: In addition to the above, actively assist with physical datacenter operations, including racking, cabling, and servicing servers and network equipment to maintain and optimize our infrastructure.\n\nYour experience includes:\n5+ years of experience managing complex, on-prem Linux compute environments, with a proven track record of supporting mission-critical R&D operations.\n\nExperience building and maintaining automated provisioning workflows and configuration management frameworks using industry-standard tooling (Ansible, Cobbler, Uyuni, FreeIPA).\n\nProven proficiency in designing, maintaining, and integrating GitLab CI/CD pipelines within complex SDLC.\n\nGood knowledge in the full lifecycle management of virtualized environments (VMware/Proxmox) and high-resiliency distributed storage clusters (Ceph/CephFS).\n\nExperience in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimizing Linux distributions (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu) within bare-metal and virtual infrastructure\n\nSolid foundation in managing end-user Linux systems, with a working knowledge of macOS and Windows environments, including hardware lifecycle support.\n\nProven experience in creating and maintaining clear, accurate, and structured technical documentation for complex IT infrastructure, system procedures, and architectural standards.\n\nComfortable with sprint work, with certain periods of high and low work variability\n\nNice to have:\nKnowledge of implementing and managing chip design tool installations within on-prem infrastructure, e.g., Cadence and Siemens tools, is a plus;\n\nExperience in setting up and maintaining the NIS2 security standard.\n\nWhat you need to succeed:\nBeing comfortable working within changing dynamic priorities and deadlines;\n\nAble to handle high-end/low workload (e.g., tape-out phase);\n\nHaving a \"Can-do\" attitude and being a resilient problem-solver;\n\nA self-starter with excellent communication and a customer-oriented mindset.\n\nWe offer you:\nAt Innatera, you'll be part of a team shaping the future of AI hardware.
