We believe in offering an engaging, inclusive and supportive work environment where each team member can thrive.\nYour contribution!\nReporting to the Senior Manager - Operations and Maintenance and/orthe Site Supervisor, the Operator works in a team environment with a multi-skilled crew. They operate and maintain run-of-river hydroelectric facilities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. This is a remote camp position with a shift schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off with paid travel days.\nYour day-to-day!\nOperations\nMonitor power plant(s) for efficiency and reliability either locally or remotely.\nRespond to and resolve alarms to ensure safe and continuous operation.\nEnsure that power plants are utilizing water efficiently and in accordance with the operating permit.\nMonitor for general facility and equipment conditions while on site. Rectify minor items as they arise. Report items that can’t be rectified immediately.\nMaintenance\nUse industry best practices while performing maintenance tasks.\nAdapt to situations where tasks may not have detailed step-by-step instructions, using sound judgement to complete work safely and effectively.\nExecute preventive and corrective work orders as assigned through the Maintenance program.\nWork with and assist other trades or contractors as required.\nInterpret engineering drawings and documents in support of maintenance and operations tasks.\nApply knowledge and logic in troubleshooting operating anomalies.\nAdministration\nRecord maintenance activities as they progress.\n\nOrder parts and materials as they are consumed or as the need arises.\nUpdate documentation that supports ongoing operations such as powerhouse, fluid, and equipment logs.\nAttend training as scheduled and submit records as required.\nEquipment and Facilities\nOperate equipment and tooling according to company standards.\nMaintain facilities, yards and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.\nHealth & Safety and Compliance\nAdhere to Innergex Health & Safety standards and programs by:Completing hazard assessments and field level risk assessments before starting work\nUsing appropriate company supplied PPE\nMaintaining situational awareness and identifying changing site conditions that could affect workers, equipment, or public safety\nParticipating in safety meetings, inspections, drills, and incident reviews as required\nStopping work when unsafe conditions are identified and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels\n\nAct safely, honestly, respectfully, and ethically in all work activities while complying with company policies, regulatory requirements and the Innergex Code of Ethics.\nYour skills, our requirements!\n3-5 plus years' experience working in a related field.\n\nRed Seal certification as a Millwright or other relevant trade or equivalent experience.\n\nA valid driver's licence. Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with airbrake endorsement is an asset\n\nExperience interpreting engineering drawings and documents.\nExperience with equipment such as, but not limited to boats, snowmobiles, snowcats and chainsaw operations may be required for some sites.\nAbility to work independently in a remote industrial environment requiring:Vehicle and equipment operations on forest service roads and work outdoors in all weather conditions.\nMoving heavy items sometimes exceeding 50 lbs.\nWork in and around water and/or on uneven ground.\nWork from ladders or scaffolds.\nWork in confined spaces.\nWork in loud environments.\n\nAbility to maintain a working environment conducive to teamwork, creativity, and positive morale.\n\nWillingness and ability to assist other trades and complete other duties as required.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize and respond to changing circumstances.\n\nAbility to research repair solutions as required.\nExperience with Backhoe/Excavator operation is an asset.\n\nPrevious run-of river-hydro facility experience is an asset.\n\nFabrication and welding experience is an asset.\n\nBasic skills with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).\nExperience with computer-based control applications.\n\nAdditional considerations!\nThe position is based at the Kwalsa and/or Upper Lillooet site, in British Columbia.\nThis position is a O3 level.\nOur benefits!\nCompetitive salary.\nThree weeks vacation.\n100% Innergex-funded medical insurance from day one of employment, including primary care services through dialogue (or telemedicine) for permanent positions;\nGroup retirement plans with employer participation;\n100% Employer-funded Wellness Account;\nElectric vehicle (E-VIP) incentive program;\nCareer development opportunities;\n\nPay Transparency Statement\nCompensation for roles at Innergex varies based on a wide range of factors, including skill set, education, and relevant experience.
