This role will focus on building pipeline with banks, insurance companies, capital markets firms, fintechs, and other financial institutions investing in AI, generative AI, agentic systems, and enterprise data transformation. \nThe BDR will identify high-potential accounts and decision makers, develop targeted outreach, understand prospective customer priorities, and create qualified opportunities for Innodata’s AI and data services. \nThis role requires strong prospecting, research, and communication skills combined with the ability to develop a working understanding of financial services workflows, AI use cases, regulatory considerations, and agentic AI. \nThis role is approximately 70% outbound prospecting, account development, qualification, and prospect-facing activity and 30% account research, and market intelligence.\nWhat You’ll Own:\nProspecting & Business Development \nIdentify and source prospective customers across financial services, including banking, insurance, asset management, capital markets, wealth management, payments, and fintech. \nResearch target accounts to identify AI initiatives, strategic priorities, technology investments, organizational changes, product launches, and other potential business triggers. \nIdentify and engage relevant decision makers across AI, data science, machine learning, technology, risk, compliance, product, and digital transformation organizations. \nDevelop highly targeted outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, industry events, conferences, and other prospecting channels. \nGenerate qualified meetings and opportunities for Innodata’s Financial Services. \nConduct initial discovery conversations to understand customer priorities, AI initiatives, data requirements, technical challenges, timelines, and potential areas of engagement. \nQualify prospects against defined criteria and transition qualified opportunities toward pilots and larger commercial engagements. \nCoordinate prospect meetings, follow-ups, presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with Innodata subject matter experts. \nThe BDR should sufficient domain fluency to connect these capabilities to financial services use cases such as underwriting, claims, fraud detection, investment research, financial document analysis, customer service, wealth management, compliance, risk management, and enterprise operations. \nYou’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. \n2-5 years of experience in business development, sales development, technology sales, financial technology, or AI data services. \nDemonstrated success generating qualified pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting. \nStrong research skills and the ability to understand complex financial institutions and identify appropriate decision makers. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to develop concise, personalized outreach for senior prospects. \nComfort communicating with both technical and business stakeholders. \nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts, contacts, campaigns, and follow-up activities simultaneously. \nUnderstanding of financial services workflows such as underwriting, claims, fraud detection, customer operations, risk management, or compliance. \nA consultative approach to business development focused on understanding customer problems and identifying relevant solutions. \nThe expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 USD per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.\nPlease be aware of recruitment scams involving individuals or organizations falsely claiming to represent employers.
