In every relationship, we honor our 36+ year legacy delivering the highest quality data and outstanding outcomes for our customers.\nScope of the Role: \nThe Business Development Representative, Physical AIwill be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities across the rapidly growing Physical AI ecosystem. \nThis role will focus on building a strong pipeline of companies developing robotics, embodied AI, autonomous systems, and Physical AI foundation models that can benefit from Innodata’s data engineering, data collection, training data, model evaluation, and AI development services. \nThe BDR will work closely with Innodata’s Physical AI leadership to identify high-potential accounts, engage relevant technical and business decision makers, qualify opportunities, and transition qualified prospects into pilots and commercial engagements. \nThis role is approximately 70% outbound prospecting, qualification, and customer-facing activity and 30% account research & planning. \nWhat You’ll Own:\nOutbound Prospecting & Qualification \nResearch emerging Physical AI companies, funded robotics startups, autonomous systems, and other Physical AI foundation-model developers. \nBuild targeted account and contact lists through market mapping, industry research, conferences, inbound engagement, and outbound prospecting. \nIdentify relevant technical and business decision makers across AI, machine learning, robotics, data, engineering, product, and research organizations. \nConduct personalized outreach through email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other channels to generate qualified meetings. \nConduct discovery calls to understand customer requirements, timelines, technical challenges, and potential commercial opportunities. \nSupport the transition of qualified opportunities into pilots, proof-of-concept programs, and larger commercial engagements. \nCoordinate customer-facing meetings, follow-ups, demonstrations, and technical discussions as needed. \nTrack relevant industry developments, funding activity, product launches, and technology trends that may create new opportunities for Innodata. \nYou’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.\n1-3+ years of experience in business development, technology sales, or a related customer-facing role. \nInterest in artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems, machine learning, or emerging technologies. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop concise andhighly personalized prospect outreach.\nStrong research skills and the ability to identify relevant companies, initiatives, and decision makers within complex organizations.\nDemonstrated ability to build consultative relationships with prospects, customers, and internal cross-functional teams.\nMust: A proactive, entrepreneurial approach and comfort working in a fast-moving and evolving market.\nPrior experience in AI, robotics, data services, enterprise technology, or technical business development is preferred but not required. \nThe expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 USD per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.\nPlease be aware of recruitment scams involving individuals or organizations falsely claiming to represent employers.
