Responsibilities\nPerform analytical testing of in-process and special samples as required by the laboratory\nDevelop proficiency in the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including top loading balances, analytical balances, pH meters, Ro-Tap particle size analyzers, Alpine jet sieves, auto titrators, atomic absorption spectrophotometers, laser particle size analyzers, UV spectrophotometers, ion chromatographs and rate machines\nPerform daily calibration and reference checks, record analytical data in logbooks, LIMS and maintain laboratory records using Microsoft Access and Statistical Software\nCreate, print & distribute Certificate of Analysis (CoAs) for bulk shipments via email or other approved communication methods\nAssist production personnel as needed, keep the work area clean and organized, trains other employees as assigned\nPerform other duties as required\nShift\n1st shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)\nTraining (approximately 10 months): Monday-Friday\n\nFollowing training:\n\n Rotating schedule (3 months): 7 days on, then 2 days off (Wednesday and Thursday); 8 days on, then 4 days off (Saturday-Tuesday)\n Standard schedule (4 Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or another scientific discipline\n1-3 years of quality control lab experience\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nDemonstrate knowledge of analytical chemistry principles, laboratory techniques, and good laboratory practices (GLP/GMP)\nAbility to read, understand, and accurately perform analytical test methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions\nProficient in mathematical concepts and analytical calculations\nStrong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office
