In this role, the Operations Training Lead will be responsible for spending a significant amount of their time on the floor observing and coaching employees in EHS policies and procedures. This will include providing on-the-job training for new hires. The Lead will also direct classroom training in Spanish as required and provide support for training in English as necessary.\nKey Responsibilities\nFollows all environmental, health and safety protocols\nTrain and mentor all new hires as well as existing staff on job requirements, systems, safety, quality, policies, procedures, and guidelines of operations\nWorks with production management and supervisors to monitor the work of newly trained technicians and coordinate retraining\nCollaborate with operations to identify training needs and areas for improvement.\nActs as a change agent by encouraging positive attitudes and behaviors towards training, safety, and work duties\nProvides feedback to management on staff performance including concerns and appropriate recognition\nPerforms translation for safety meetings, training material, EHS documents & quality documents from English into Spanish\nProvides new hire orientation training\nSupports annual EHS & Quality refresher training\nEnsure completion of the Operations New Hire Checklists\nAssists with training of all site standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and other applicable procedures\nEnters training into the site Learning Management System (LMS)\nCertify Forklift Operators\nCertify and train DOT Hazmat employees\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nRequired Education and Experience\nPreferred\nBachelor’s degree in education, human factors, linguistics, cognitive science, communication, anthropology or a related field required\n1+ years of education/training experience\nAdvanced safety experience\nMinimum\nAssociate's degree in education, human factors, linguistics, cognitive science, communication, anthropology or a related field required\n3+ years of education/training experience\nBasic safety experience\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nStrong computer skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish\nAbility to train people from various backgrounds and learning styles\nExcellent Microsoft office applications (specifically Microsoft excel)\nAbility to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions\nShift\nFull-time schedules available \n1st shift - 6:30am - 2:30pm\nDaily overtime, weekend work, and schedule changes may be required based on production needs\nPayday is every other week on Fridays\nEnvironmental and/or Physical Requirements\nWork is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available\nFrequent plant field visits that require protective clothing & personal devices:\nSafety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, mask,
