The position involves close collaboration with service providers, application teams and operations staff to deliver resilient and supportable Windows infrastructure for critical business applications.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWindows Infrastructure Engineering\nDesign, implement and manage Windows infrastructure to meet availability, continuity, security and capacity requirements.\nTranslate business and application requirements into appropriate Windows infrastructure solutions.\nProvision, configure and maintain Windows virtual machines and supporting services.\nSupport infrastructure architecture reviews, implementation planning, testing and operational readiness.\nPerform capacity planning, lifecycle management, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.\nAct as the primary Windows infrastructure technical point of contact for new application and infrastructure initiatives.\nWork closely with application teams, infrastructure teams and service providers to resolve technical issues and support production operations.\n\nAI & Technical Automation\nDrive Windows infrastructure operations and day-to-day task efficiencies through technical automation, with a focus on reducing repetitive manual activities and improving operational consistency.\nDesign, develop, test and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation runbooks for Windows infrastructure administration and operations.\nAutomate operational activities such as server provisioning and configuration, Active Directory administration, configuration and hardening checks, health checks, log collection, troubleshooting, reporting and remediation.\nExperience in deploying and working with AI tools applied to Windows infrastructure operations, including AI-assisted scripting and troubleshooting, log and event analysis, anomaly detection and operational automation.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to accelerate the development, testing and documentation of scripts and automation, while ensuring outputs are technically validated before production use.\nIdentify suitable operational use cases and progressively convert manual procedures into controlled, repeatable and supportable automation runbooks.\nDevelop automation with appropriate validation, logging, exception handling, security controls and rollback considerations.\nMaintain automation scripts and configuration artefacts using appropriate version-control and change-management practices.\nContinuously identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve infrastructure reliability, troubleshooting effectiveness and operational efficiency.\n\nMicrosoft Active Directory & Windows Platform\nStrong hands-on knowledge and experience are required in:\nMicrosoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.\nActive Directory backup and recovery.\nGroup Policy creation, implementation and troubleshooting.\nActive Directory migration and upgrade planning.\nWindows authentication and authorisation mechanisms.\nActive Directory Sites and Services design and configuration.\nGCC Active Directory and Remote Desktop Services integration.\nWindows Server roles and features including DNS, DHCP and Certificate Services.\nWindows clustering and high-availability configurations.\nPowerShell scripting and automation.\nWindows security hardening and configuration management.\nTroubleshooting complex Windows Server and Active Directory issues.\n\nSecurity, Governance & Operational Readiness\nEnsure Windows infrastructure solutions comply with the Authority's Technical Architecture, SG-TRM, IM8 and applicable Authority IT policies.\nEnsure automation is appropriately tested, documented and implemented through established change-management processes.\nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures and automation runbooks.\nSupport operational readiness and knowledge transfer to operations teams and service providers.\nEnsure Windows infrastructure configurations remain secure, controlled and supportable throughout their lifecycle.\n\nDesired Skills and Experience\nStrong hands-on experience in Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory engineering.\nStrong PowerShell scripting and technical automation capabilities.\nDemonstrated experience automating Windows infrastructure administration and operational activities.\nPractical experience using AI tools in infrastructure operations, including AI-assisted troubleshooting, scripting, analysis or anomaly detection.\nExperience with AIOps, infrastructure automation or configuration automation platforms would be advantageous.\nAbility to identify manual operational processes and translate them into reliable and maintainable automation.\nStrong infrastructure troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.\nExperience supporting infrastructure with high availability, security and governance
