In addition to other duties, the individual will become proficient in the microbial methodologies used by Innovative Labs. The Microbiologist I is directly supervised by the Laboratory Manager. The Microbiologist I is to work under minimal supervision upon completion of training.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform microbial testing on environmental samples, raw materials, and finished products\nOrder supplies and coordinate general lab maintenance\nUnderstand and operate all microbiological testing systems\nCreate finished product certificates of analysis for product release\nWrite procedures and test methods as needed\nSign off on others work when trained to do so\nMaintain and calibrate assigned equipment\nReport deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor\nMaintain records of all quality activities as documented in procedures and test methods\nHandle samples and perform analyses according to established procedures and test methods\nIdentify, record, and correct nonconformities\nIdentify and record improvements\nImprove laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis\nOrganize samples for microbial testing\nDocument analyses performed\nLaboratory cleaning and organization\nTrain other employees\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nBachelor's degree in microbiology or related science\nThe ability to read, speak, and understand basic English\nMust possess oral / written communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities\nFollow GMP standards and guidelines\nUnderstand and apply information set forth in SOP’s\nHandle confidential
