We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, loves animals, communicates well, and can stay organized in a busy veterinary clinic.\nIf you're an experienced veterinary receptionist, client service representative, medical receptionist, or simply someone with excellent people skills who would love to work in veterinary medicine, we'd love to hear from you!\nPay: $14-$17 per hour, depending on experience.\nSchedule\nThis is a part-time position with a consistent weekday and Saturday schedule.\nWork two full weekdays per week\nWork a minimum of two Saturdays per month\nEvery Saturday from May through September is required\nAdditional hours may be available and are required periodically to provide coverage for employee vacations, illness, or other staffing needs\nSeasonal flexibility and willingness to pick up additional shifts is strongly preferred\nThis position is ideal for someone who wants a regular part-time schedule but is also dependable and flexible when additional coverage is needed.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Client Service Representative, you'll help keep the front desk and client experience running smoothly. Responsibilities may include:\nWelcome clients and their pets with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.\nProvide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.\nAnswer incoming calls, respond to client questions, and direct calls to the appropriate team member.\nSchedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel veterinary appointments.\nCheck clients and patients in and out of the clinic accurately and efficiently.\nCollect payments and accurately process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.\nExplain invoices, payment options, and available services to clients.\nMaintain accurate client and patient information in the veterinary practice management system.\nPrepare and maintain medical records and other necessary documentation.\nCommunicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and other members of the hospital team.\nHelp coordinate client flow and minimize wait times.\nKeep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.\nCommunicate updates to clients and help address concerns professionally.\nMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client and patient information appropriately.\nProvide compassionate support to clients during difficult or emotional situations.\nAssist with general administrative and front-desk duties as needed.\nWork as part of a collaborative veterinary team to provide an exceptional client and patient experience.\nWhat We're Looking For\nThe ideal candidate is:\nFriendly and approachable with a genuine desire to help people.\nDependable and responsible and follows through on commitments.\nCompassionate toward both pets and their families.\nDetail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy while multitasking.\nComfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.\nA strong communicator who can interact professionally with clients and coworkers.\nA team player who enjoys working collaboratively.\nComfortable with computers and learning veterinary practice management software.\nAble to remain calm and professional when working with upset, worried, or emotional clients.\nWilling to learn and contribute wherever needed to support the clinic.\nFlexible and willing to provide additional coverage for vacations, illness, and seasonal staffing needs.\nPreferred Experience\nPrevious experience in one or more of the following is a plus:\nVeterinary hospital or animal clinic\nVeterinary receptionist or client service\nMedical or dental office\nHealthcare customer service\nHospitality or retail customer service\nAppointment scheduling or front-desk administration\nVeterinary experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
