You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and reliable DevSecOps solutions. Our primary platform is Kubernetes based leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).\nLocation: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL\nRelocation Assistance: None available at this time\nRemote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position\nClearance Type: DoD Secret\nShift: Day Shift\nThe candidate will:\nBe responsible for several cloud and containerization computing roles focusing on engineering, architecture, development, and administration.\nAssess a project's technology infrastructure and explores options for moving to the cloud and containerization.\nOversee the migration and maintains the new system leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IAC) utilities such as Terraform, HELM, Ansible and Bash\nProvide expertise in container hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards\nDevelop and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms.\nAssist in the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy.\nIncorporate security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications.\nEvaluate and identifies the best cloud solutions for the project.\nDesign controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.\nMaintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.\nIntegrate component subsystems into a cohesive whole and ensures they function together.\nDesign and implements cloud-based integration solutions that meet Government requirements.\nPlan, coordinate, schedule, test, improve, and maintain IT systems.\nCollaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems.\nDeploy and maintains cloud application databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL.\nDevelop and maintains comprehensive documentation for all integration processes and systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolves complex integration issues in a timely manner.\nStay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve integration processes.\nAnalyze existing systems and infrastructure to identify upgrade needs and integration opportunities.\nCommunicate with Government to determine optimal subsystem pricing/sourcing.\nReports to leadership and stakeholders on infrastructure capabilities.\nEvaluate & recommend new technology & processes based upon cost, risk, mission.\nThe successful candidate will:\nHave excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.\nHave strong communication and collaboration skills.\nBe able to perform highly specialized, technical tasks associated with current and cutting-edge technologies.\nBe able to perform multiple tasks at specialist level.\nBasic Requirements:\nMust have 12, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience. May be reduced with completion of advanced education.\nMust have 6, or more, years of directly related experience in system integration, with a focus on DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes.\nMust have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role.\nMust be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.\nMust have experience with Coder Platform.\nMust have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nMust be able to develop & use exceptionally complex concepts & processes that span multiple organizations and disciplines.\nMust have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ie Security+).\nMust have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.\nThis position is expected to pay $135,000 - $160,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.\nIDS is committed to providing superior work in the fields of science, engineering, data analytics and technology to government agencies.
