Additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.\nProficiency in basic computer applications such as email, MS Word and Excel.\nEffective oral and written communication skills.\nPrevious publications preferred\nAble to work independently.\nCorporate Responsibilities:\nAdherence to laboratory health and safety procedures\nAdherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nAdherence to applicable company policies and guidelines\nAdherence to federal and/or local regulations as applicable\nEssential Position Responsibilities:\nServe as the Study Director for non-GLP and GLP studies and performs the following duties for assigned studies:Prepare study protocols/amendments and assure that protocols and changes are followed\nReview and approve all study activities, including animal orders, formulation procedures, randomization, data collection and timeframes.\nObserve animals throughout study cycle.\nReview study data for scientific quality, animal welfare and protocol compliance.\nAddress unforeseen circumstances are noted and appropriate corrective actions are taken and documented.\nMonitor study costs.\nRespond to Quality Assurance audits.\nInterpret study data and prepare final reports.\nRegularly communicate with study Sponsors.\nHost client visits.\n\nManages complex pre-clinical studies in accordance with established protocols, SOPs, GLPs, and other pertinent regulatory requirements. Responsibility includes conducting multiple pre-clinical studies concurrently.\nReviews training of technical staff to ensure adequacy to perform study specific techniques.\nReviews and develops new procedures, technologies, and SOPs as required.\nServes as a professional resource to other departments.\nAdditional Position Responsibilities \nPrepares manuscripts and/or presents at scientific meetings.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional Requirements:\nAbility to multi-task and participate in multiple pre-clinical research studies concurrently.\nAbility to accurately interpret and communicate scientific and organizational information with internal and external clients.\nAbility to effectively interact with clients and regulatory personnel.\nAbility to produce high quality data while working under the pressure of strict deadlines.\nWeekend and holiday work as required.\nWork requires entrance into the Vivarium areas. Demonstrated immunological tolerance as necessary to be present in animal areas. \nWork requires passing annual physical and the use of other PPE (personal protective equipment)\nProfessional Responsibilities: (if applicable)\nAttends continuing education courses, as appropriate.\nMaintain an active involvement in professional organizations.\nBe knowledgeable in regulatory requirements.\nThe annualpay range estimated for this position is $80,100 to $105,500. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.\n*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.
