This role will be PRN, Dayshift.\nInova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.\nInova PRN Benefits and Perks:\nState-of-the-art medical and training facilities \nRetirement benefits with match from day one\nFree Parking to all employees\nExclusive savings opportunities to in-store events, theme parks, discounts, movie tickets and local offerings and so much more!\nDiagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist Job Responsibilities:\nDemonstrates a thorough understanding of Imaging principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes while utilizing the most appropriate techniques and/or positioning for optimal examinations, as demonstrated by exam results.\n\nCommunicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent from patients, or patients' charts, to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination, as evidenced by the exam results.\n\nDemonstrates the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding, as evidenced by incidence reports.\n\nMaintains an orderly, safe, and clean environment. Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.\n\nPerforms and documents routine quality control testing of equipment. Performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images, as evidenced by the physician and exam results.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography\nLicensure: ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain CT certification in applicable modality within one year of training.\nCertification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 3 months of start.\n Experience: Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Rad Tech in a hospital/healthcare environment.
