opportunities.\n\nResearch Pharmacist Coordinator Job Responsibilities:\nFacilitates the development and implementation of treatment guidelines, protocols, formulary changes and critical pathways.\nFacilitates the identification, resolution, implementation, and communication of cost-effective medication use issues in collaboration with the medical staff.\nProvides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners and patients and suggests appropriate and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff as needed.\nMonitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, adverse drug reactions and appropriateness of drug/dose.\nPerforms all the functions/duties of the Pharmacist.\nProvides education and information to patients on pharmaceutical care and drug therapy.\nProvides training and education to Pharmacists regarding pharmaceutical care and Pharmacoeconomics and supervises and instructs Pharmacists and Pharmacy students.\nPrepares and presents drug reviews, MUE criteria, antibiotic sensitivity reports, adverse drug reaction reports and pharmacy intervention summaries to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee\nParticipates in community educational programs and contributes to the advancement of the profession through presentations at local, state, and national meetings.\nReviews the performance and documentation of clinical activities of all Pharmacists including documentation of clinical and investigational drug activities.\nMonitors Pharmacy activities daily to ensure adherence to study protocols and dispensing procedures.\nLiaises with Principal Investigators, Trial Coordinators and/or Research Assistants to establish Pharmacy's role, determine fee schedules and to implement dispensing, compounding, and billing procedures.\nMaintains inventory and coordinates distribution of an up-to-date clinical investigational drug trials list.\nCommunicates any concerns regarding ethical issues or deviation from established policies and procedures to the appropriate committee.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nEducation: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy.\n\nExperience: Three (3) years’ Pharmacist oncology experience or completionof an ASHP approved post-graduate year one residency or three years of Pharmacist research experience\n\nLicensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.\n\nCertification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nResearch
