You work closely with developers and cross-functional partners to validate requirements, identify issues early, and support high-quality releases in an Agile environment. Your work helps strengthen product performance and user experience for internal teams, clients, and the people they serve.\nWhat You'll Do\nExecute test scripts for complex, widely used product capabilities and components across integration, functional, API, data, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.\n\nCreate, maintain, and extend comprehensive test plans and test cases for user stories, defects, and technical enhancements to ensure requirements and specifications are fully validated.\n\nDesign structured, reusable, automation-ready test cases that can be used by Quality Engineers and automated test frameworks.\n\nUse AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case creation, expand test coverage, identify edge cases, and improve test effectiveness while applying human judgment to validate and refine outputs.\n\nAnalyze functional requirements and specifications to identify gaps, clarify expected behavior, and define test strategies that verify complete coverage.\n\nPartner with developers to troubleshoot defects, isolate complex issues involving dependent software components, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.\n\nSet up, perform, and interpret performance and load tests to evaluate product behavior under expected and stressed conditions.\n\nAnalyze, document, and report test results, quality metrics, and testing status from an overall product perspective.\n\nDevelop and maintain test scripts, test cases, and software test and performance measurement tools using appropriate programming languages and software applications.\n\nContinuously improve test plans, scripts, and cases based on quality data, production incidents, lessons learned, and team priorities.\n\nWhat You'll Need\n5+ years of demonstrated QA and testing experience or equivalent experience required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\n\nExperience developing test cases and test scripts.\n\nGood knowledge of basic test techniques, including positive and negative testing, interface testing, and database testing.\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience across all phases of software testing, including integration, functional, API, data, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.\n\nExperience with test tools and source control tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.\n\nThorough understanding of the software development life cycle, quality before design, Agile software development, and current QA best practices, methodologies, standards, and testing approaches.\n\nExperience validating the effectiveness of application user experience.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively across a variety of staff levels and lead work effectively within a team environment.\n\nGrowth Potential & Learning Agility: You actively build your knowledge of product behavior, testing methods, tools, and emerging technologies, and apply new learning to improve test quality and team outcomes.\n\nLeadership: You influence through collaboration, communicate clearly with developers and peers, support shared quality goals, and help move issues to resolution when perspectives differ.\n\nAdaptability: You adjust quickly to changing priorities, evolving requirements, and shifting release needs while staying focused on quality and delivery outcomes.\n\nCreative Thinking: You develop practical, effective ways to improve test coverage, uncover edge cases, and strengthen quality processes across complex product areas.\n\nAnalytical Skills: You interpret test results, identify patterns and root causes, break down complex issues, and use evidence to guide decisions and recommendations.\n\nNice to have: Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright and an understanding of databases.\n\nOur Shared Commitments\nMaintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;\n\nAdhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and\n\nFulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of Employer.\n\nWork Environment\nThis is primarily a computer-based role performed in a remote, hybrid, or office environment.
