You help shape architecture, engineering standards, and delivery practices across the team. You bring strong technical judgment, reporting and data experience, and focus on building secure, reliable, high-performance systems supporting business outcomes.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign resilient, secure distributed systems from concept through implementation to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities at scale.\n\nLead technical decisions to improve scalability, resiliency, security, performance, and engineering quality across services and solutions.\n\nReview and influence system designs, architecture, and standards for building and maintaining scalable software.\n\nInvestigate and implement innovative technologies that expand infrastructure capabilities and improve reporting solution reliability and performance.\n\nDevelop detailed designs for complex systems with strong engineering analysis, testing, and optimization practices.\n\nCreate and use metrics to manage server fleets and complex computing environments - driving automation, operational efficiency, and performance improvements.\n\nOwn design, analysis, testing, and optimization to ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable, and high performing.\n\nCollaborate with engineers, internal teams, and external customers to understand requirements and maintain a data-driven feedback loop.\n\nMentor and onboard team members to support knowledge sharing and ongoing team success.\n\nParticipate in an on-call rotation to address critical issues outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays within defined SLAs.\n\nWhat You'll Need\nMinimum 5+ years of related professional experience; prior software engineering experience preferred.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nStrong programming skills in object-oriented languages, including .NET and C#, with experience developing RESTful APIs and EF Core mapping.\n\nProficiency with Angular and TypeScript.\n\nExperience with SQL, RDS, and DynamoDB.\n\nSolid understanding of software and database design patterns.\n\nStrong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design for performance, scalability, and availability.\n\nExperience with cloud-native AWS managed services, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.\n\nExperience with OAuth2, JWT, and Secrets Manager.\n\nGrowth potential and learning agility to learn new technologies quickly, expand technical scope, and apply new knowledge to improve systems and outcomes.\n\nLeadership in influencing technical direction, collaborating across engineering and partner teams, mentoring, and constructively working through differing viewpoints.\n\nAdaptability to adjust priorities and technical approaches in response to changing requirements, evolving architecture, and operational demands.\n\nCreative thinking to identify practical, innovative ways to solve infrastructure, reporting, and scalability challenges.\n\nAnalytical skills using metrics, data, and engineering logic to evaluate tradeoffs, solve complex problems, and support technical decisions.\n\nOur Shared Commitments\nMaintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement.\n\nAdhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements at all times regarding any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in this position.\n\nFulfill responsibilities and duties reasonably provided by Inovalon to achieve operational and financial success.\n\nWork Environment\nThis is primarily a computer-based role performed in a remote, hybrid, or office environment.
