This position possesses a deep understanding of the computer’s architectural design and other issues like testing and scalability of software products.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nWork collaboratively to write high quality, testable code that meets the “Definition of Done” as it relates to team commitments;\n\nUtilize a “Test-First” approach to software development, where possible, in which the test is developed before the code;\n\nParticipate in design and code reviews with other engineers;\n\nCreate automated unit, system and acceptance tests and participate in test plan reviews;\n\nActively support and contribute to end of iteration demos;\n\nResponsible for assigned integration, testing and deployment tasks;\n\nWork with product management to scope and estimate product enhancements;\n\nDesign, implement, unit test software, and test software following defined processes;\n\nFix software defects (internal or customer reported) following defined process;\n\nActively foster continuous team improvement by being accountable for actions and continuously striving to become a better problem solver;\n\nContribute to team retrospectives, helping to identify and resolve team impediments;\n\nWrite and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections;\n\nActively participate in the change management process as business and technical scope is adjusted;\n\nAdhere to all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other such policies, procedures, and requirements as outlined within Employer’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the scope of work.\n\nMaintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement, and fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success.\n\nOn Call Policy: Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues, including outside standard business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays), ensuring timely response and resolution as per defined SLAs.\n\nJob Requirements:\nMinimum 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms;\n\n3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture;\n\nAdvanced design/debugging/coding skills;\n\nBuilds Secure applications and adheres to security standards;\n\nDemonstrated high personal integrity and ability to earn trust from others;\n\nExhibits a growth mindset, seeks feedback often and is effective in continuous personal and professional development;\n\nContinuously pursuing self-directed learning activities aimed at developing expertise within technical domain, including reading relevant publications, participating in domain forums or groups etc.;\n\nAbility to anticipate and look for creative ways to solve problems and apply best practices;\n\nCommunication, organization, and teamwork skills.\n\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology\n\nMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nSedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time).\n\nExerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.\n\nSubject to inside environmental conditions.\n\nTravel for this position will include less than 10% locally usually for training purposes.\n\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, TN, or E-3).
