The Digital Press Operator is responsible for independently operating Domino digital printing equipment to safely produce high-quality labels and packaging products that meet customer specifications, production schedules, and quality standards. This experienced operator serves as a technical resource within the department by troubleshooting equipment, maintaining exceptional color consistency, minimizing waste, maximizing machine efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Digital Operator works collaboratively with Production, Prepress, Finishing, Maintenance, and Quality teams to deliver exceptional customer results.\nWhy Join Us?\nCompetitive pay\nComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Short/Long-Term Disability\n401(k) Retirement Plan with generous company match\nPaid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays\nCareer advancement opportunities\nState-of-the-art digital printing technology\nCollaborative, team-oriented culture\nEssential Responsibilities\nIndependently operate Domino digital presses to meet daily production schedules.\nPerform complete press setup, make-ready, calibration, changeovers, and shutdown procedures.\nReview job tickets and customer specifications prior to production.\nProduce printed labels and packaging that meet customer quality, color, registration, and finishing requirements.\nMonitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments to maintain color accuracy and consistency.\nTroubleshoot print quality issues, mechanical concerns, and production interruptions with minimal supervision.\nPerform routine preventative maintenance and daily equipment cleaning.\nAccurately complete production documentation and quality records.\nMonitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.\nWork closely with Prepress, Scheduling, Maintenance, Quality, and Finishing to ensure smooth production flow.\nMaintain inventory awareness of inks, substrates, blankets, imaging oil, and other press consumables.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nFollow all company safety, quality, GMP, and standard operating procedures.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMentor and assist in training less experienced operators.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Digital print assets are computer-based interactions. Candidate should be comfortable engaging a variety of software applications.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n2+ years operating digital printing equipment in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to independently operate digital presses with minimal supervision.\nStrong understanding of color management and print quality standards.\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to read production orders, job tickets, and customer specifications.\nBasic computer proficiency.\nStrong attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nPreferred\nDomino Digital Press Operator Certification.\nExperience with Domino Digital Press, or similar equipment.\nExperience in pressure-sensitive labels or flexible packaging.\nKnowledge of LabelTraxx, Esko workflow, or other digital front-end systems.\nLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.\nPhysical Requirements\nStand and walk for extended periods.\nFrequently bend, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to distinguish color variations accurately.\nWork safely around moving production equipment.\nWear required PPE.\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
