With team members across North America and Europe, we're committed to investing in the development of our team, no matter where they're located.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAdministration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database environments in production and non-production systems\n\nInstallation, configuration, patching, upgrading, and lifecycle management of SQL Server environments\n\nMonitoring database performance, availability, and health, and proactively resolving issues\n\nDatabase performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting using T-SQL and Microsoft performance tools\n\nInvestigating and resolving database performance incidents, including blocking, deadlocks, long-running queries, wait statistics analysis, Extended Events tracing, Query Store analysis, and SQL Server trace flag-based troubleshooting where applicable\n\nManaging backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures\n\nPlanning, implementing, and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions\n\nWorking with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), Azure SQL Failover Groups, and other Microsoft technologies for high availability and business continuity\n\nManaging database security, users, roles, permissions, encryption, and access control\n\nCollaborating with system administrators, cloud engineers, network and security teams, developers, and other IT teams\n\nParticipating in database migration, consolidation, modernization, and infrastructure improvement projects\n\nCreating and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards\n\nReference: 1Eq1olhgdIhcPc9AkQ0U9Nq4M_I4sAASlnbNB7HV3K4NSxQ5W_j4fiSNK820V8Ut\n\nWhat We Expect from the Candidate\n\nWe are looking for someone who can independently take ownership of the database platform's operation while also collaborating with other IT teams on complex projects.\n\nFrom a Senior DBA, we expect the ability to:\n\nPropose improvements to database architecture, scalability, security, and performance\n\nParticipate in defining technical standards, governance policies, and operational procedures\n\nIdentify and mitigate potential issues before they impact production systems\n\nMentor less experienced team members and share knowledge across teams\n\nRequired Experience and Knowledge\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with significant experience in Microsoft SQL Server\n\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and related Microsoft data platform technologies\n\nExperience administering large-scale and mission-critical SQL Server production environments\n\nStrong knowledge of T-SQL, database design principles, and query optimization\n\nExperience with SQL Server backup and recovery strategies and tools\n\nExperience with SQL Server performance troubleshooting, including deadlock analysis, blocking investigation, wait statistics, Extended Events, Query Store, and execution plan analysis\n\nExperience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and disaster recovery solutions\n\nExperience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or other Azure data services\n\nStrong understanding of database performance tuning and troubleshooting methodologies\n\nExperience with monitoring and management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Extended Events, Query Store, and SQL Server DMVs\n\nAdditional Assets\n\nMicrosoft certifications such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert\n\nOther relevant Microsoft data platform certifications\n\nExperience with Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics\n\nExperience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services\n\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nLong term, full-time employment with competitive salary\n\nFlexible work environment (Belgrade: hybrid, Tuesday and Wednesday in office;
