From credit card processing to back-office management, North points the way to smarter, faster, and just plain better payment solutions.\nJob Overview:\nWe are seeking a Developer Relations Engineer, Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and success of our payment APIs. This individual will act as a bridge between our engineering teams and developer community, creating technical content, engaging with developers, and representing our APIs at conferences and events. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with strong technical expertise and a passion for empowering developers. We’re seeking not only a great presenter but an excellent listener, who is curious about the needs and concerns of our prospects and customers. This person must be able to think out loud with developers to empower them to create innovative solutions using our technology.\nWhat you will do:\nAPI Specifications Management:\nCollaborate with internal engineering teams to update and maintain technical API specifications.\n\nEnsure documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and developer-friendly.\n\nTechnical Content Creation:\nWrite detailed technical documentation around existing and new payment APIs.\n\nDevelop blog tutorials showcasing sample applications that leverage our APIs.\n\nCreate educational resources including guides and walkthroughs to improve developer understanding.\n\nVideo Tutorials & Media Production:\nProduce high-quality video tutorials demonstrating how to use our APIs effectively.\n\nShowcase sample code and applications in engaging video formats for platforms like YouTube\n\nCommunity Engagement:\nRepresent the company at conferences, meetups, and workshops by giving technical presentations on payment APIs.\n\nAdvocacy & Feedback Loop:\nAdvocate for the needs of developer clients with internal product and engineering teams.\n\nRelay feedback from the developer community to help shape product roadmaps.\n\nGather and prioritize technical requirements, define the developer vision, and collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.\n\nWhat we need from you:\n8+ years of hands-on development & API integration experience\n\n8+ years experience as an engineer or developer evangelist, with a track record of public speaking and/or publishing of technical documentation (blogs, tutorials, videos, etc.)\n\nOutstanding oral and written communication skills, and passionate about fostering developer success and building communities.\n\nPrevious experience in payments, fintech or related industry is a big plus\n\nExperience with modern programming languages: TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Python, C, C++, SWIFT, PHP\n\nExperience in databases, working SQL and No-SQL\n\nOutstanding oral and written communication skills, and passionate about fostering developer success and building communities.\n\nExperience working in an Agile environment.\n\nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that enables our teams to live a life well lived,both personally and professionally.
