From credit card processing to back-office management, North points the way to smarter, faster, and just plain better payment solutions.\nJob Summary:\n The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for administering, building, operating, and maintaining a resilient, scalable, and secure cloud environment to support core business operations. This role provides hands-on technical guidance, mentorship, and support to other cloud engineers as required. Additionally, the Senior AWS Cloud Engineer helps drive operational efficiency by identifying and integrating AI-driven automation, AIOps, and AI toolsets across cloud computing environments to improve efficiencies within the cloud infrastructure.\nWhat You'll Do:\nHelp architect and implement North’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to support our users and customers.\nPerform cloud administration duties including building & supporting cloud infrastructure and services, applications, containers, etc. according to industry best practices and company strategy.\nExplore, evaluate, and integrate AI-driven tools and agentic workflows (e.g., AI-assisted IaC development, AIOps telemetry analysis, and automated troubleshooting) to increase engineering velocity and team productivity.\nUtilize infrastructure-as-code to automate and ensure consistency, efficiency, and security throughout the environment.\nWork closely with and support the DevOps teams to build and maintain their systems, including deployments, administration and patching.\nProvide technical support and guidance to teammates & cloud engineers.\nAdditional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.\nWhat We Need From You:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field\n5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)\nProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to cloud engineers.\nExtensive experience implementing, maintaining and securing Linux based systems (Ubuntu and RHEL preferred).\nExtensive experience using Terraform and Ansible.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred):\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer \nHands-on experience with PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and security controls.\nExperience with multi-cloud deployments (Google Cloud Platform).\nScripting/Programming proficiency in Python, Bash, or Perl.\nExperience with Jira, Confluence, Subversion, and Git \nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that enables our teams to live a life well lived, both personally and professionally.
