The role designs, implements, and supports cloud infrastructure, tooling, automation, reliability, and security practices in collaboration with developers and architects.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implement, and manage the tools used to develop, deploy, monitor, and support our cloud infrastructure and services using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Bicep/ARM templates, and other DevOps tooling\nDefine and track SLIs/SLOs for the services you support, using error budgets to help balance reliability work against feature velocity\nMonitor and troubleshoot cloud resources and applications using our observability stack\nParticipate in on-call rotation, troubleshooting and resolving incidents while collaborating with development and IT teams to minimize downtime and maintain service quality\nAutomate and optimize processes to improve the efficiency and reliability of our cloud operations\nMonitor and analyze cloud resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities\nBuild and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Bicep/OpenTofu) for our Azure environment\nSupport the ongoing shift away from manual, portal-driven changes toward GitOps-based workflows\nSupport the deployment and configuration of InRule products and solutions, recommending changes to application architecture or design to improve security, performance and efficiency\nImplement security controls in our Azure environment (e.g., access management, secure baseline configurations, monitoring)\nParticipate in and support initiatives like least-privilege access rollout, just-in-time elevation (Azure PIM), and infrastructure drift detection\nAssist with onboarding or tuning of security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines\nBring a security-conscious mindset to day-to-day operations and infrastructure decisions\nDesign and deploy agentic workflows to automate and optimize processes such as release change tracking, vulnerability triage, and incident response\n\nSkills\n5+ years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability engineering, or DevOps\nStrong knowledge of core cloud services (compute, serverless, managed databases, storage, secrets management) on a major cloud platform — AWS, Azure, or GCP\nExperience with PowerShell, and other scripting or development languages (SQL, Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.)\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as OpenTofu, Bicep/ARM, or Pulumi\nDirect experience with at least one major observability platform (Datadog, New Relic, ELK, Prometheus/Loki/Grafana) and OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation\nStrong DevOps fundamentals and CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)\nExperience with Linux operating systems and related tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes\nWillingness to take ownership of security-adjacent tasks as they come up, treating them as a natural part of the role\nMust be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship\nExperience with Azure Cloud (Functions, Container Solutions, SQL Database, Storage, Key Vault, &c.)\nHands on experience with Azure security tooling (Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Policy)\nBackground operating in a regulated environment (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)\nExperience with Networking, DNS, VPC, and database operations and concepts\nGöteborg preferred, where our office is located\nExposure to Windows Server and IIS configuration and maintenance\nExperience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef\n\nBenefits\nFlexible work environment.\nThe opportunity to build and shape a premium support function with measurable customer impact.\nA collaborative culture with close partnership across Support, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success.\nProfessional growth within a scaling SaaS organization.\n\nCompany Overview\nInRule Technology® is an AI decisioning company providing integrated decisioning, machine learning and process automation software to the enterprise.
