Inscribe is backed by Threshold Ventures, Uncork Capital, Y Combinator, Crosslink Capital, and Foundry, and is headquartered in San Francisco, CA.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Risk Operations Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring, assessing and improving fraud detection on behalf of our customers. You will also have the opportunity to recommend and implement best practices to detect and prevent fraud. This role requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for fighting fraud.\nThis is a hybrid role, working 2 days from our office near Stephen's Green in Dublin and 3 days from home.\nResponsibilities\nInvestigate high-risk accounts, documents and transactions to identify fraud such as fake or synthetic identities, account takeover and document forgery\n\nAnalyse large datasets to detect patterns, trends and anomalies, including retrospective analysis to uncover new fraud patterns and new ways of catching fraud\n\nUse fraud detection software and tools to strengthen our monitoring and investigations\n\nRun regular check-ins with customers on risk, performance and the reasoning behind our decisions\n\nPrepare clear reports for leadership and customers on fraud incidents, findings and recommended improvements and generate activity reports for internal reviews and customer check-ins\n\nWork closely with Product and Engineering to turn your findings into better rules, tooling and detection systems\n\nRespond quickly as new fraud trends and incidents emerge, adjusting priorities alongside the team\n\nHelp design and scale the processes, workflows and automation that keep our risk operations efficient as we grow\n\nSpot gaps in our systems, policies and detection strategies and work with stakeholders across the business to recommend and deliver improvements that address emerging risks\n\nContribute to ad hoc cross-functional projects that strengthen our fraud prevention strategies\n\nAbout You\n3+ years of experience in fraud, risk operations, trust & safety, a related investigative field or equivalent experience\n\nHands-on SQL for investigations and analysis alongside other data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Workspace)\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment on ambiguous cases\n\nExperience working across teams, ideally with Product or Engineering and explaining complex findings simply\n\nComfortable speaking and presenting to customers and leadership\n\nAble to work independently as well as part of a team, and to prioritise multiple tasks and change direction in a very fast-paced environment\n\nTakes ownership and brings energy and urgency to solving problems, with a willingness to dig deep to find the answer\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nFamiliarity with risk management frameworks and relevant standards\n\nExperience with fraud and risk tools\n\nFintech, payments, marketplace or startup experience is a plus\n\nExperience improving or automating workflows is a plus\n\nInterview Process\nInitial Screen with the Hiring Manager to share your experience (30 minutes)\n\nCheck In Call with HR to understand and align on your motivations and expectations (30 minutes)\n\nTake Home Technical Exercise followed by a discussion with 1-2 peers to review the test and assess your technical ability (1 hour)\n\nMeet our Leadership Team to discuss Inscribe’s vision and align on values (45 minutes)\n\nBenefits\nAt Inscribe, we are building a company and culture where everyone can produce their best work.
