Headquartered in San Diego, California, Inseego has offices in Amsterdam, Bangalore, and Athens.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Software Test Engineer works directly to Software Test Manager to do the test planning and test execution and reporting for multiple ongoing projects. The Software test engineer is responsible to Develop automated tools/scripts from scratch to Test SW/FW.\nResponsibilities:\nThe Software Test Engineer works closely with key stake holders in the organization such as program managers, product managers, development engineers, and technical program managers to define and implement quality engineering solutions, practices, processes, and standards.\nDesign, develop, maintain, and execute test cases and test plans at functional and system levels.\nUnderstand functional, system, integration and regression testing focus at functional and system level.\nPerform black and gray box testing of released products or products under development to reveal design and implementation defects.\nUse test tools such as debuggers, emulators, and simulators to test and collect logs for reported problems.\nExperience with Test management, defect reporting such as AP Test Manger, TestRail, Jira, and Confluence.\nIdentify automation opportunities and develop & maintain automated tests.\nAnalyze test results, troubleshoot, and triage issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.\nCollaborate with developers, product managers & QA engineers to understand features in-depth & write detailed test plans.\nPerform Test execution and provide test reports and metrics on regular basis and communicate test results to Project teams\nMust be self-motivated and self-managed with an eye towards continuous process improvement.\nProven Track record of executing automated test suites and generating relevant reports\nAbility to translate SW requirements into test cases\nEngage in debugging and verification of customer reported issues\nExperience/Requirements:\n3+ years of experience in quality engineering and software/hardware testing.\nExperience in testing IoT devices/Data cards/M2M devices and/or hardware.\nAttention to detail and solid oral and written communications skills a must\nMust understand QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment.\nExperience testing products running on embedded Linux/RTOS\nExperience testing end to end IoT systems or Cloud based solutions for IoT platforms\nKnowledge on routing / networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, MQTT\nGood understand of network traffic and tools: 802.11, Wireshark, TCPDUMP.\nDebugging data like logs, Wireshark traces and identifying potential problems\nExperience with automated testing tools\nGood Understanding of the software development lifecycle\nKnowledge and experience in Windows, Mac OS, Linux & embedded Linux\nExperience with mobile app testing (Android/iOS)\nDetail-oriented and open-minded with a good personality\nFlexible team player, self-reliant and self-starter\nPositive attitude, quick and logical thinker\nGood analytical problem-solving skills\nExperience with a variety of router & switch hardware, network services, network management, and network termination\nHave hands-on experience designing and coding automated tests in scripting languages like Python.\nEducation:\n·Bachelor’s degree in Computers/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
