Headquartered in San Diego, California, Inseego has offices in Amsterdam, Bangalore, and Athens.\n\nPosition Overview\n\nThe Software Test Lead Engineer works directly to Software Test Manager to do the test planning, monitoring, test execution and reporting for multiple ongoing projects. You will develop, design, and deploy test scripts and test cases of complex modules, help set up the test environment and contribute to the requirements documentation and test design for different types of testing.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nThe Software test lead works closely with key stake holders in the organization such as program managers, product managers, development engineers, and technical account managers to define and implement quality engineering solutions, practices, processes, and standards. \nMonitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. \nDetermine the completion timeline and monitor progress to keep the project on track and on schedule. \nDevelop a strategy that the team members can use to better reach a project's goal. \nCreate and distribute SQA sign off reports and metrics on regular basis and communicate test results to the Project teams. \nBe an escalation point for all matters related to testing and software quality and operate as a primary point of contact for the SQA teams. \nAnalyze test results, troubleshoot, and triage issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution. \nCollaborate with developers, product managers & QA engineers to understand features in-depth & write detailed test plans. \nParticipate in interviews, induction, training, and performance evaluation of software test team members. \nFollow defined process in the development and maintenance of automated test suites, automation infrastructure, framework, and tools.\nReview automated test results; identify and report to project teams potential defects and performance concerns. \nDiagnose, debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects with the help of automation. \nDevelop automation test strategies and road map with the manager and test leads. \nEnsure the appropriate automation environments and infrastructure are in place and kept up to date. \nDocument automation policy (general guidelines on what to automate) and architecture. \nMentor automation engineers with technologies and design/development approaches.\n\nExperience/Requirements\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering and software/hardware testing. \nExperience leading and developing a team of highly skilled QA engineers. \nShown strength in position of leadership. \nAbility to mobilize, encourage, and lead teams without direct management authority. \nExperience in testing IoT devices/Data cards/M2M devices and/or hardware. \nMust understand QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment. \nExperience with a variety of router & switch hardware, network services, network management, and network termination. \nExperience testing products running on embedded Linux/RTOS \nExperience testing end to end IoT systems or Cloud based solutions for IoT platforms \nKnowledge on routing / networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, MQTT \nExperience with Test management, defect reporting such as AP Test Manger, TestRail, Jira, and Confluence. \nDebugging data like logs, Wireshark traces and identifying potential problems.\nDetail-oriented and open-mi nded with a good personality.\nFlexible team player, self-reliant and self-starter.\nPositive attitude, quick and logical thinker.\nGood analytical problem-solving skills.\nAbility to lead projects and contribute as part of a team.\nAttention to detail and solid oral and written communications skills a must.\nMust be self-motivated and self-managed with an eye towards continuous process improvement.\nHands-on experience designing and coding automated tests in scripting languages like Python.\nResearch and develop automation solutions for software applications. \nCreate test automation frameworks for use by developers and QA professionals.\nTroubleshoot automation scripts, framework execution errors and bugs. \nCommunicate with colleagues to identify areas for automation and optimization.\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor's degree in Computers/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification is
