Fridays are remote (normal business hours)\nCompensation: DOE; range is $140,000-$160,000 a year salary plus a quarterly bonus structure + full benefits\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a Lead Microsoft Identity Engineer to support and enhance enterprise identity infrastructure across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and related authentication platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, migration expertise, troubleshooting, and strategic infrastructure improvements to ensure secure and reliable identity services.\nYou will serve as a subject matter expert for Active Directory, authentication technologies, identity security, and directory services while supporting modernization and migration initiatives across hybrid environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead Active Directory migration projects, including cross-forest migrations\nDesign, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory environments\nManage Group Policy for servers and endpoints\nSupport and troubleshoot authentication technologies, including ADFS, Kerberos, LDAP, and token-based authentication\nMigrate users, groups, computers, and other directory objects between domains and forests\nAdminister and support Microsoft identity services in hybrid environments\nPartner on identity modernization initiatives involving Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and cloud platforms\nPerform Active Directory health assessments, remediation, and optimization\nManage Windows Server upgrades and lifecycle activities\nSupport disaster recovery, capacity planning, and infrastructure improvements\nHandle multiple concurrent projects and operational priorities\nRequired Experience\n7+ years of experience administering and engineering enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments\n7+ years of experience with Active Directory design, implementation, migration, and troubleshooting\nDeep expertise with:Active Directory\nGroup Policy\nDNS\nDHCP\nDFS\nWindows Server\n\nStrong understanding of authentication protocols and identity security\nExperience troubleshooting replication, authentication, and directory services issues\nExperience serving as a Domain Administrator in large enterprise environments\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP\nKnowledge of Microsoft 365 identity and security best practices\nPreferred Qualifications\nMicrosoft Entra ID (Azure AD)\nOkta\nADFS\nHybrid Identity deployments\nPowerShell automation\nIdentity Governance or IAM experience\nInsight is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by law.\n Insight does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
