This role is primarily focused on the management and development of people and practices and enables self-directed teams to successfully execute their goals within an agile organization in support of corporate vision and strategy.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProvide excellence in management and leadership for multiple teams to help achieve company objectives.\n\nResponsible for the overall quality and delivery of multiple projects.\n\nIdentify goals and tracking metrics to ensure objectives are met and recommend process improvements.\n\nSupport organizational capacity through staffing, budget /compensation planning, skills development, and acquisition of required tools and technologies:\n\nConduct regular succession planning activities for key roles within the Agile organization;\n\nManage and approve staff performance and discipline plans; and\n\nHelp to attract, recruit, retain and develop top engineering talent.\n\nEmbraces all Engineering facets - Engineering, QA & DevOps.\n\nWorks closely across functional teams, striving to deliver a high-quality product to market in an automated fashion.\n\nStay focused on customer / market needs.\n\nCollaborate effectively and routinely share information and best practices across all functions to ensure organizational effectiveness.\n\nEnsure staff understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.\n\nHandle escalations that cannot be resolved independently by direct reports and may similarly escalate to more senior management as appropriate.\n\nAssist in delivery of Technology Roadmap while meeting a defined budget.\n\nMay represent company in industry groups and events to create internal and external awareness of functional solutions.\n\nMay represent company in relations with major customers, suppliers, bankers, government agencies and both channel and alliance partners.\n\nFoster a growth mindset in all employees:\nSupport employees in setting and attaining professional and development goals;\n\nCoach and mentor employees on career and personal development, team collaboration and Agile practices; and\n\nSupport continuous learning.\n\nMaintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement.\n\nAdhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.\n\nFulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.\n\nOn Call Policy: Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues, including outside standard business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays), ensuring timely response and resolution as per defined SLAs.\n\nJob Requirements:\n12+ years of relevant professional experience including prior software engineering experience (preferred)\n\n6+ years of experience in management of an array of team and department sizes.\n\nKnowledge of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.\n\nDemonstrate a growth mindset, seeks feedback often.\n\nStrong ability to motivate others.\n\nGood coaching and mentoring skills.\n\nAbility to easily build new relationships.\n\nComfortable with constructive conflict.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to clearly communicate and motivate teams toward a common goal.\n\nA leader with a demonstrated ability to support self-organizing teams.\n\nWillingness to take calculated risks.\n\nAbility to make decisions under pressure, and to own the outcome.\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience.\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nSedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time).\n\nExerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.\n\nFrequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.\n\nSubject to inside environmental conditions.\n\nTravel for this position will include up to 25% locally usually for training purposes.\n\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, TN, or E-3).
