This role will focus on accurate and timely invoicing to our customers. This position is also responsible for ensuring all payments are received within the defined terms. The Billing Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nInvoice assigned customers timely and accurately\nAddress billing questions and discrepancies timely\nVerify invoice procedures and validate customer contracts\nEnsure payments for assigned customers are received within terms by managing their open Accounts Receivables\nCommunicate with internal and/or external customers\nCollaborate with the Field to complete tasks in a timely manner\nAct as a resource for other functions within AWP\nProvide training and support as requested\nEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers\nPerform other duties and/or special projects as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n3-5 years AR/Billing experience preferred\nPay application, lien waiver, and contract management experience preferred\nStrong customer service skills\nBasic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication\nProblem-solving skills\nCritical thinking skills\nDemonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detail\nExcellent organizational skills\nOutgoing & assertive personality - not afraid to approach individuals\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)\nMicrosoft Dynamics 365 and/or TCR experience preferred\nPrimarily sedentary or working at a desk\nOccasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds\nWhile performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear\nProficient literacy\nThe employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms\nAdditional Information\nHours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.\n40-hour work week\nSalary range $20 - $25 p/hr depending on experience\nComprehensive benefits package including three medical plan options and two dental plan options, along with additional benefits such as Legal and Identity Shield, Accident, and Critical Illness coverage.\nEligibility for benefits starts on the 1st of the month following your hire date.\nCompany-paid life insurance coverage.\nCompany-paid long-term disability (LTD) insurance.\nAvailability of Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).\nParticipation in the 401(k) retirement plan.\nPaid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.\nAWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
