Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.\nJob Description\nThe EnvironmentalTechnician consolidates, treats, stores, packs, transports and/or disposes of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures. Maintain detailed and accurate records.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nSegregate and package material for transport.\nAssist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, practices and procedures.\nOperate fork trucks and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.\nComplete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.\nPerform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.\nQualifications\nBasic Requirements:\n2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\nAbility to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack\nVisual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts\nAbility to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms\nAbility to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions\nWillingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard had, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.\nPreferred Requirement:\nBasic computer skills to complete web-based training\nAbility to understand and respond to written and verbal English\nAbility to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours. Must be willing and able to occasionally work nights, weekends and variable schedule(s) as necessary.\nAbility to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.\nAdditional Information\nPay starting at $23.00 - $23.00 hourly\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
