You thrive in distributed engineering environments, communicate technical decisions clearly, and approach operational challenges with autonomy, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.\nNote: This role operates under a 6-month contract-to-hire model and requires on-site presence at our offices in Mexico City, Mexico, or São Paulo, Brazil.\nYou bring to Applaudo the following competencies:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.\n5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering, including recent hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.\nStrong production experience with Terraform, including troubleshooting and maintaining large, complex, or poorly documented module codebases.\nAdvanced experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including app registrations, custom app roles, delegated and application permissions, access controls, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).\nStrong hands-on experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, including OIDC-based deployment authentication.\nExperience with Azure services, including App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Storage, Redis, Service Bus, Event Hubs, API Management, Azure AI Search, and Azure AI Foundry.\nStrong knowledge of Azure Networking and Security, including DNS, VNet integration, Private Endpoints, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Managed Identities, and Key Vault.\nAbility to independently troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and application-platform issues using native tools and command-line interfaces.\nExperience working with Linux environments and scripting using Bash and PowerShell.\nStrong problem-solving skills, operational ownership, and ability to independently manage incidents and infrastructure issues.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams and communicate technical decisions clearly.\nStrong verbal and written English communication skills.\nNice to Have:\nExperience deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads on AKS or Azure App Service.\nExperience remediating resources affected by organization-level Azure Policies.\nFamiliarity with cloud compliance practices and identifying unused cloud resources for cost optimization.\nExperience investigating logs using Datadog and Azure diagnostic settings.\nFamiliarity with ARM templates.\nPrevious contract or consulting experience.\nAbility to guide developers with cloud experience who are less familiar with Microsoft Azure.\nAzure Administrator, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.\nYou will be accountable for the following responsibilities:\nDesign, provision, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure using Terraform and env0.\nReview, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing Terraform configurations and module codebases.\nManage Microsoft Entra ID configurations, including app registrations, permissions, application roles, and deployment identities.\nDevelop and optimize GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines using OIDC-based authentication.\nConfigure and maintain Azure networking, platform services, access controls, and secrets management.\nDiagnose and resolve infrastructure and application-platform issues using Azure-native tools and command-line interfaces.\nConfigure diagnostic settings and use Datadog to investigate logs, alerts, and operational issues.\nIndependently troubleshoot and resolve incidents during LATAM working hours, ensuring operational continuity across time zones.\nTranslate development requirements into appropriate Azure identity, networking, and infrastructure configurations.\nCollaborate with distributed Engineering and DevOps teams to support reliable cloud operations and application deployments.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures.\nQualifications\n5+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience.\nAdvanced Microsoft Azure and Terraform expertise.\nStrong Microsoft Entra ID, OIDC, and GitHub Actions experience.\nAzure Networking, Security, and Infrastructure troubleshooting.\nLinux and Bash or PowerShell scripting.\nAdvanced English proficiency.\nAdditional Information\nAbout Us\nWe Are Engineered Different.\nAt Applaudo, talented people design, build, and scale meaningful, AI-powered solutions that create real business impact.
