Learn more at insightsoftware.com.\n Job Description:\nWe are seeking SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) consultant to design, build, and optimize our enterprise data and analytics landscape. The ideal candidate has strong SQL scripting, debugging, and performance tuning skills, a solid grounding in SAP BW concepts, and genuine curiosity to grow into functional modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.) over time.\nThis role requires a proactive team player with excellent collaboration and communication abilities, capable of taking full ownership across multi-module business processes to support operational excellence and achieve organizational goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and build data models, views, and data flow in SAP Datasphere aligned to business reporting needs.\nWrite and optimize SQL/SQL Script for transformations, calculated views, and custom logic.\nDebug data load failures, connection issues, and modelling errors; drive root-cause analysis and fixes.\nMonitor and tune performance of models, data flows, and queries; recommend and implement improvements.\nCollaborate with business/functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data models.\nDocument data models, data lineage, and technical design decisions.\nStay current with SAP's evolving Datasphere/BDC roadmap and proactively suggest adoption of new capabilities.\nDemonstrate a strong learning mindset, with willingness to expand skills into:Broader SAP functional concepts\n\nPosition Qualifications:\nExperience Level: 5+ years of experience\nTechnical:\n Primary skill (Must Have):SAP Datasphere: space and connection setup, data modeling (graphical & SQL-based views), data flows, replication flows, task chains, and data marketplace/data sharing concepts.\nSAP Business Data Cloud (BDC): understanding of the BDC architecture - data products, Business Data Fabric, integration with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA Cloud\nStrong SQL scripting: complex queries, stored procedures, table functions, and SQL Script (HANA) for transformation logic.\nDebugging: ability to trace and resolve issues across data flows, calculation views, replication jobs, and connections.\nPerformance fine-tuning: query optimization, partitioning, indexing strategies, memory/resource management, and identifying bottlenecks in models and pipelines.\nStrong willingness to adapt and cross-train and ability to learn\n\n Secondary skill (Nice to Have):SAP certification in Datasphere, BW/4HANA, or HANA.\nExperience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), or Databricks integration within BDC.\nExposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting/dashboarding on top of Datasphere models.\nOpenness to developing functional knowledge in one or more SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM\nFamiliarity with SAP HANA Cloud administration basics.\nExposure to SAP FI/MM/SD modules.\nExperience in Agile or hybrid methodologies.\nSAP Central Finance\n\nNon-Technical:\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact confidently with clients in onsite/offshore models\nStrong multitasking capability and ability to manage priorities with high accuracy and attention to detail\nQuick learner with ability to grasp new technologies through instruction and self-training\nPerseverance and positive attitude to solve challenges and deliver results\nEffective team player with proven ability to work across diverse functional areas\nEagerness to learn Functional Modules.\nWork collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and management.\nSupport requirement gathering, solution design, testing (SIT/UAT), deployments, and production operations.\nProvide clear documentation, status updates, and user communication.\nLogistical Requirements: Will be located at Hyderabad, India office\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n4+ years of experience in SAP data & analytics, with recent hands-on exposure to SAP Datasphere (or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud) and/or SAP BDC.\nAdditional Information\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nLearn more about our high-energy, high-performance global team: Work With Us\ninsightsoftware About Us: Hear From Our Team\nBackground checks are required for employment with insightsoftware, where permitted by country, state/province.\nAt insightsoftware, we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, national origin, gender, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or parental status, disability, veteran status, or other class protected by applicable law.
