Technically\ndeep and execution oriented, you drive electrical design from R&D through production release.\nWho will I report to?VP of Engineering\nWhat roles am I accountable for?\n1. Electrical Design & Product Development (60%)\nDesign electrical circuits and PCBs for LED drivers, control systems, and power electronics.\nUtilize Altium Designer for PCB layouts; maintain all ECAD data.\nDevelop early-phase R&D prototypes and proof-of-concept designs.\nCreate, execute, and document hardware validation plans.\nSupport UL certification on new product development.\nDrive continuous product improvements and iteration through field analysis and root cause investigation.\nDesign and implement production test fixtures for PCBA validation at volume.\nManage assigned projects end-to-end; maintain timelines, escalate risks, communicate status proactively.\n2. Manufacturing Integration & Cross Functional Collaboration (30%)\nOwn BOM accuracy for assigned products; verify components against design requirements.\nValidate incoming parts and assemblies against design specifications.\nManage component alternate approvals and proactively qualify alternates.\nSupport internal SMT/PCBA process as a technical expert.\nForensic analysis of electrical field returns and internal defects; drive corrective actions.\nPartner with manufacturing on first-run production builds.\nEstablish electrical test methods and procedures.\nProvide technical guidance to Sales and Support teams as needed.\n3. Team G&G (10%)\nLive and reinforce G&G core values.\nContribute as a key member of the G&G Engineering team, fostering a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.\nWhat does success look like?\nSuccess in this role means delivering high-quality, reliable electrical designs that perform in the\nfield and make it to production on schedule.
