In each rotationthe interns areresponsible for applying the latest tools and technologies to develop and assist in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into hardware and software solutions, as well as assisting in the implementation and maintenance of these solutions and supporting systems integration testing and user acceptance testing.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nLearns the software development life cycle and technologies utilized to fulfill application development, support, and maintenance requests by participating in an agile team environment.\n\nParticipates in software development training as assigned by development mentor.\n\nWorks with the development team and assigned mentor to understand:\n\nscope definition process,\n\nwork effort estimation,\n\nbusiness requirements gathering process,\n\ntechnical documentation,\n\nunit testing approach and standards.\n\nWorks with the solution design team to learn the design standards and adheres to these design standards when performing assigned work.\n\nWorks on application code assignments as assigned by mentor to aid in learning technologies and system functionality.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nActively pursuing or has obtained a Bachelor’s Degreein IT, MIS, Computer Scienceor a related field is required.\n\nGPA of 3.25or higher preferred.\n\nSome level of programming skills in Java, C#, SQL, Perl, XML, etc.\n\nExposure to some of the following concepts: object-oriented programming, data structures, software engineering techniques, quality assurance, parallel programming, databases, networking, etc.\n\nAbility to adapt to change and learn new skills quickly.\n\nEnergy and enthusiasm to be creative and deliver tangible results.\n\nAbility to be flexible and work with ambiguity.\n\nA strong sense of intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.\n\nAbility to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and executive presence.\n\nStrategic and analytical thinking; demonstratesound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner.\n\nPersonal commitment and drive to set and exceed high standards and objectives.\n\nDetail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.\n\nEffective time management skills.\n\nStrong problem-solving and collaboration skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nBasic presentation skills.\n\nExhibits leadership skills and works well in a collaborative environment.\n\nProactive, can-do attitude and a desire to learn.\n\nAbility to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information.\n\nProficient with computer applications and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\n\nAt Insperity, we celebrate the diversity of our employees and our leadership.
