The school is keen to developing its staff, so if you are interested in deepening your expertise as a classroom teacher or have your eyes set on leadership, then Ivy House will be the school for you.\nThis role is for a January 2027 start for a 12 month maternity cover.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time \nPlan lessons and sequences of lessons to meet pupils’ individual learning needs \nSecure a high standard of pupil behaviour in the classroom, through establishing appropriate rules and high expectations \nParticipate in the school’s Performance Management program\nIdentify pupils who have special educational needs, and know where to get help in order to give positive and targeted support. \nDesign and adapt long, medium and short term plans for all schemes of work taught \nMark and monitor pupils’ class and homework providing constructive oral and written feedback\nSet clear targets for improvement of pupils’ achievement and monitor pupils’ progress towards those targets\nSupervision of pupils during playtime, lunchtime and for at least one school club\nAttend Staff Meetings and Briefings, Inset Days, Parents Evenings and Meetings, Open Days and School Fetes\nTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:\nExperience as a KS1 Class Teacher\nUnderstand their professional responsibilities in relation to school policies and practices\nSet a good example to the pupils through presentation and personal conduct\nEvaluate teaching critically and use this to improve effectiveness\nEstablish effective working relationships with professional colleagues where applicable\nPassionate about the extra-curricular life of the school \nDirect and line manage Teaching Assistants & support staff when needed \nSAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:\nInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
