The position is responsible for teaching and supporting student learning in digital technologies, computational thinking, coding, digital citizenship, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies, while ensuring alignment with the Reddam House educational philosophy and curriculum requirements.\nThis role will model outstanding classroom practice, contribute to curriculum development, and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, problem-solving, and responsible technology use. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the teacher will support the effective integration of technology and AI into teaching and learning, remain informed of developments in educational technology, and contribute to the school's commitment to innovation.\nThis role is central to equipping students with the technological knowledge, skills, critical thinking capabilities, and ethical understanding needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world while supporting the broader educational goals of Reddam House.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead and deliver an innovative Digital Technology and Computer Studies curriculum (K-6), ensuring strong progression of knowledge, skills and alignment with NSW curriculum requirements.\nTeach engaging lessons in coding, computational thinking, digital literacy, cyber safety and digital citizenship, inspiring students to become confident and responsible users of technology.\nDesign, implement and review assessment and reporting practices to monitor student progress and drive continuous improvement in learning outcomes.\nLead the primary school's AI and Digital Learning, supporting the safe, ethical and effective use of AI and emerging technologies in education.\nProvide curriculum leadership, mentoring and professional learning for teachers, building staff capability in digital technologies and contemporary teaching practices.\nCollaborate with school leaders, teachers and IT teams to plan, implement and evaluate digital learning initiatives across the Primary School.\nOversee the selection, management and evaluation of digital resources, software platforms and subscriptions, ensuring educational value, compliance and cost effectiveness.\nEnrich the wider school community through coding clubs, robotics programs, technology competitions and parent engagement, while contributing to broader school leadership and strategic planning.\nTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:\nPassionate about teaching and learning, with high academic standards and a commitment to student achievement.\nExperienced in Digital Technologies, Computer Science, STEM, or a related field, with the ability to inspire and engage primary-aged learners.\nCurious about emerging technologies, including AI, and able to apply them thoughtfully and ethically in educational settings.\nCollaborative and supportive, building positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community.\nSkilled in mentoring and professional learning, with the confidence to guide colleagues in effective digital teaching practices.\nHighly organised, adaptable and solutions-focused, with strong communication and leadership skills.\nCommitted to ongoing professional growth and maintaining professional accreditation requirements.\nEnthusiastic about contributing to the broader life of the school, including events, duties, enrichment programs and community engagement.\nEssential Qualifications & Requirements\nRecognised teaching qualification and relevant tertiary studies in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, STEM or a related discipline.\nCurrent NESA accreditation and a valid NSW Working with Children Check.\nCommitment to maintaining accreditation and engaging in continuous professional development.\nWillingness to participate in playground supervision, school duties, parent events and co-curricular activities as required.\nSAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:\nInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
