The role involves firmware development for microcontroller-based devices, modification of UAV software components, and participation in field testing. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, experience with embedded systems, and an interest in UAV technologies.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and optimize firmware for devices based on ATMega and STM microcontrollers.\n\nModify and improve UAV software components based on the ArduPilot platform.\n\nDevelop software components for UAV companion computers (experience with the MAVLink protocol is an advantage but not required).\n\nPerform software testing, debugging, and validation to ensure system reliability and performance.\n\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.\n\nParticipate in periodic field testing of UAV systems at designated testing sites.\n\nContribute to the development and review of hardware components (component selection, PCB routing, and prototype soldering) — considered a strong advantage.\n\nRequirements\n\n5+ years of programming experience in C/C++ and Python is a must.\n\nHands-on experience with microcontroller-based systems.\n\nExperience in printed circuit board design is not strictly required, but a big advantage.\n\nExperience of working with ArduPilot\n\nIntermediate Linux administration skills for configuring companion computers.\n\nKnowledge of the prococols SPI I2C UART \n\nKnowledge of RTOS, locking, parallellism\n\nPiloting experience (not essential, but a significant advantage), \n\nExperience with drone configuration, flight log analysis, and troubleshooting\n\nAbility to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues.\n\nThe role may require occasional travel to testing sites for UAV system validation and field trials.\n\nThe role requires to undergo a polygraph test in Kyiv\n\nLocation Kyiv is a must\n\nNice to Have\n\nPractical experience with UAV assembly, configuration, or operation.\n\nFamiliarity with Computer Vision technologies.\n\nExperience working with MAVLink communication
