This role is primarily responsible for preparing and filing customs entries, managing import documentation, resolving issues with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and serving as the primary backup for Purchase Order (PO) documentation management. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices to verify country of origin, item pricing, and applicable special trade provisions. Once verified, the Entry Writer inputs and processes this data into EDI-Trade based on the estimated time of arrival (ETA) at the port, ensuring all shipments clear customs without delay.
