And that's where you come in:\nWe are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join the team. You'll run Instructure's accounts payable and T&E functions and lead a team of four. You own the process from invoice receipt through payment and month-end close, working in Coupa, Brex, and NetSuite. You'll keep the process accurate, controlled, and on schedule, and you'll coach the people who run it day to day. This role is hired in the US and supports every country where Instructure operates.\nWhat you'll do\nLead, coach, and develop a team of four AP and T&E professionals, including goal setting, performance reviews, and workload planning.\nOwn the AP cycle end to end: invoice intake and coding, three-way match, approvals, payment runs, and vendor inquiries.\nManage AP workflows in Coupa, card and spend activity in Brex, and posting and reconciliation in NetSuite. Make sure data flows cleanly between them.\nDeliver AP accruals, subledger-to-GL reconciliations, and aging reviews on the close calendar.\nMaintain internal controls over disbursements, including segregation of duties, approval limits, vendor master changes, and duplicate payment checks. Support internal and external audit requests.\nOversee 1099 and tax reporting, plus sales and use tax and VAT treatment on vendor invoices across jurisdictions.\nWork with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and department budget owners to resolve invoice and payment issues quickly.\nTrack AP metrics such as days payable, invoice cycle time, early-pay capture, and exception rates. Use them to find process fixes.\nDocument procedures and drive automation improvements as the company and its vendor base grow.\nWhat you bring\nDemonstrated experience leading an AP team.\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.\n5+ years of AP experience, including 2+ years managing or leading AP staff, preferred.\nHands-on experience with Coupa and NetSuite. Experience with Brex or a comparable corporate card platform is strongly preferred.\nSolid understanding of month-end close, accruals, and AP controls in a public or audit-ready environment.\nExperience with global, multi-entity, multi-currency payables, including foreign currency invoices, international payment methods, and VAT and other statutory requirements across jurisdictions.\nStrong Excel skills and comfort with reporting and reconciliation.\nClear communication, and the judgment to know when to fix a problem yourself and when to escalate.\nNice to have\nExperience with SOX controls or a similar compliance framework.\nExperience supporting an AP team through a system migration or process redesign.\nCompensation and benefits\nWe offer competitive, meaningful benefits in every country where we operate.
