Whether your experience leans more toward frontend or backend, if you are excited to expand your skills across the full stack, you will find a great environment to grow here.\nWhat you will do:\nContribute to production features across the stack, working with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres.\n\nBuild clean, accessible user interfaces (WCAG aware) and connect them to reliable backend APIs.\n\nWrite maintainable, well-tested code (unit, integration, and e2e testing) and participate in peer code reviews.\n\nCollaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to break down problems and deliver valuable user features.\n\nAssist in maintaining high service health through logging, metrics, and incident troubleshooting.\n\nContinuously learn and apply modern software engineering practices in a collaborative agile environment.\n\nWhat you will need to know/have:\n3+ years of professional software engineering experience.\n\nDemonstrated experience with modern web development (either frontend, backend, or full-stack).\n\nStrong motivation and curiosity to work across both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js/TypeScript) environments.\n\nProven ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, frameworks, and domain concepts quickly.\n\nSolid foundational knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL).\n\nProduct-oriented mindset-you care about user experience, code quality, and shipping reliably.\n\nGood communication skills and an open, collaborative approach to teamwork.\n\nIt would be a bonus if you also had:\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to boost workflows and productivity.\n\nHands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or AWS.\n\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, or database ORMs/query builders.\n\nPrior experience in edtech or working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).\n\nUnderstanding of basic web security principles (OWASP, OAuth/OIDC).\n\nOnsite Collaboration Requirement:\nThis role requires working onsite on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of our company's in-person collaboration model.\nGet in on all the awesome at Instructure!\nWe offer competitive, meaningful benefits in every country where we operate.
